To my knowledge, neither Bush nor Gore released their grades. The Washington Post obtained their transcripts, though. Kerry released his grades after the election. Like I said, contrary to the release of tax returns, there is no custom for candidates to release their college transcripts.
Custom can give rise to an obligation and, in this instance I believe it has. That does not mean that is is required to do it to be eligible to run for office. And I believed that Obama proved his eligibility upon the release of a certified copy of his birth certificate.
Bottom line is just because YOU believe something has caused enough interest to force the release of something that is protected under the Privacy act of 1977 doesn't mean shit. Too bad.
