The shooter in the Sikh temple massacre in Wisconsin is charged with 'domestic terrorism'... Okay, fine by me...

Why wasn't Maj. Hasan Nidal charged with 'domestic terrorism' in the Fort Hood shootings?

Can some pinhead explain this inconsistency to me, because I'm not getting it... was there some difference?

the way some idiot liberal tried to explain it in another thread is that since it was a general military office for general business and not some specialized office full of one type of individual, it wasn't terrorism EVEN THOUGH Nidal was shouting Allahu Akbar during the shooting.

Ah Dixie. Your grasp of facts never ceases to amaze me. I'm not surprized that somebody who comes from a region where a group of people who burn crosses in peoples yards and hang people of color from trees are hailed as a "fine civic group" would be confused about what is or is not a terrorist.

Maj. Hasan was not charged with domestic terrorism because he had no known association with any terrorist group and had acted alone.

Mr. Page though was not charged with domestic terrorism. He in fact was not been charged at all. It appears that law enforcement and the courts consider him "Too Dead" to file charges against him.

yes, before he died, the FBI was quick to make the charge.

Not so in the Hasan case.

Incidentally, Hasan DID have 'known association' with Islamic terror organizations, it's why he was hollering "alla akbar" as he committed jihad.

Both parties acted alone, it's inconsequential.

Dixie. Yelling "God is great" does not make you a terrorist or affiliate you with a terrorist organization. I know this may come to you as a shock but Islam is not considered a terorist organization.

"Charged" as in "alleged... accused of... treated as... considered to be..." Not as "charged in an official capacity and filing of legal court documentation and prosecutorial procedure." Had the suspect lived, he would have likely been charged in court, of domestic terrorism, since the FBI is handling this as domestic terrorism. Unlike Maj. Hasan Nidal.

Hasan was not a member of any terrorist organization. They embraced him following the shootings.

The phrase "Allah Akhbar" is used in many ways, including while at prayer. It's an Islamic praise of God, not a term meant solely for terrorists.

Funny, I was asked the same thing recently about southern evengelicals who believe all niggers and jews should be lynched in the name of racial purity. I'd never thought of them as Terrorist organizations before so I guess you have a point.

Again, your grasp of the facts amaze me Dixie. The FBI did investigate Maj. Hasan as a "possible" domestic terrorit and concluded that he wasn't as he had no association with any known terrorist group. So you're fishing for a double standard that doesn't exist. You poor persecuted redneck.
