Abeba Aregawi

USFREEDOM911

MAKE AMERICA GREAT AGAIN
Before the start of the womens 1500 meter finals, I heard this and couldn't believe it.

According to the announcer; Ms. Aregawi was going to run for Sweden, seeing as how she's married to a Swedish man and has lived in Stockholm since 2009.

But the Ethiopian Government wanted her to run for Ethiopia and supposedly threatened her family, to force her to comply.

If this is true; then why hasn't something been done about this.

The UN and Nato should have stepped in and relocated her entire family to another country. If Sweden didn't want them, I bet we could have found a place for them in the US.

If this story is true; then this is a huge stain on the Olympics.
Just my opinion.

Instead of whining about what OTHERS need to do, why don't you get off your ass and do something YOURSELF?

Typical USF...

Watch the race again, and tell me if you think like me that she could easily have earned a medal but slowed down considerably in the last 20 meters, apparently just to make a point...

To me it looked like she hurt her leg.
It could have been a result of the earlier contact she had with the American runner.
