Yes. and there are atrocities, but not ny most of the troops, i havent seen any correlation between lowering standards, and a rise in atrocities...but i could be wrong as I'm more focused on saving lives, on both side of AfPak, then atracities. Once you're dead, you dont commit atrocities.

If we would stop invading other countries and starting wars, we would not need to recruit so many and could raise the standards.

I'm hopeful once Obam gets re-elected, he'll have enough political room to manuever an exit, without another 10 years of support.

At one time Afghanistan was one of the most progressive nations in the world towards woman, freedom and education. Then, with the help of our government and the Russians, the religious zealots took over and the nation is in the shape it is today.

Because America is in the business of war, the military recruits all manner of psychopaths to fill the ranks.
