Will seniors abandon the GOP in 2012?

With Paul Ryan cryin' about fryin' Social Security and Medicare, will the GOP lose a lot of older voters?
 
The only Seniors I know are hacked off at Obama, even my Stepfather who has never voted anything but Democrat.

Last spring when Ryan unveiled his budget proposal, which proposed changing Medicare to a private program with government subsidies, pollsters jumped to see what Americans thought.


A flurry of polls showed a majority or at least a plurality of voters didn't like Ryan's idea. Among the elderly, it was wildly unpopular.
 
I thought it was interesting that a Democrat spokesman on Fox News this morning dared make the comment that he expected the Ryan pick to hurt Republicans because history shows that the elderly will vote for their own interests over that of their children or grandchildren......

With Medicare-mauling Lyin' Ryan on the ticket, do you think multimillionaire Mittzie will win any state with a large senior electorate?
 
actually, pr's budget is more of a threat to future seniors, but only because he does not think that he could get get any reductions to medicare for current seniors through congress, imo
