Does Ryan pass the first test?

Seriously, especally those of you who complained that the President did not have the qualifications...

Does Ryan have the experience necessary to take over the Presidency on day one?

He has never held statewide office... (less experience than Palin and Obama)
He has never handled anything relating to forign affairs.
The only job he has ever had outside of politics was working for his family business.

What experience does Ryan have to suggest he is qualified to be president... He was born in 1970 for Gods sake.

RYAN: "The commitment Mitt Romney and I make to you is this: We won't duck the tough issues, we will lead."

THE FACTS: So far, vital specifics are missing from Romney as he pledges broad cuts in federal spending, but more money for the armed forces, and significant tax cuts.

He proposes to cap federal spending at 20 percent of gross domestic product by the end of a first term, an ambitious goal that is not fleshed out with the painful choices that will be necessary for that to happen.

If current Social Security and Medicare beneficiaries are protected, domestic Cabinet agency budgets would have to take a hit in ways that could reshape government to its core.

Health research, transportation, homeland security, education, food inspection, housing and heating subsidies for the poor, food aid for pregnant women, grants to local governments and national parks are among the programs that would be at risk of substantial cuts.

Romney promises to cut a wide swath of spending by 5 percent immediately, but independent analysts say the cuts would have to be far deeper to meet budget goals and would be certain to meet stiff resistance in Congress.

RYAN on Obama: "And in his first two years, with his party in complete control of Washington, he passed nearly every item on his agenda, but that didn't make things better. "

THE FACTS: Obama succeeded in achieving a stimulus plan, the automakers' bailout, his health care law, new rules in the financial services sector and more.

Ryan's assertion that the Obama agenda "didn't make things better" is primarily a political judgment call.

But no one seriously argues that the stimulus plan or the auto bailout made no difference at all.

The question is whether such spending was worth the gains that were made.

Obama's $800 billion-plus stimulus, enacted in February 2009, created both public-sector and private-sector jobs, even if not as many as its sponsors had hoped. The director of the Congressional Budget Office, Douglas Elmendorf, estimated that the stimulus saved or created more than 3 million jobs.

Princeton University economist Alan Blinder and Mark Zandi, chief economist at Moody's Analytics, estimated that the stimulus, together with the bank bailout started by President George W. Bush and continued by Obama, saved or created more than 10 million jobs.

An earlier CBO analysis estimated that stimulus trimmed the unemployment rate by 0.7 to 1.8 percentage points.

Ryan has spent his whole adult life (aside from driving the 'weinermobile') inside the beltway. He's a Koch Brother hack and looks like Eddy Munster....if I hadn't already lived through the election of Reagan (who's candidacy was laughed at) and Bush the lesser (who was dumb as a box of rocks) and seen that in America these people get elected....I'd laugh. However, I don't have much of a sense of humor about how our nation is suffering under the thumb of the 1%.

Say goodbye to states with large senior populations, like Florida.

Obama could not have picked a better candidate for Romney's VP than Paul Ryan.

Ryan was the best choice Romney could make. They will shepherd America back to greatness, and the Left will be kicking and screaming the whole way.

/shrugs.....he' s had more experience than Obama did.....shucks, Obama's been president for four years and Ryan still has more experience than he does in preparing budgets.......

So, nobody cares about requirement #1 anymore?

They did the same thing with Sara Barracuda.... Untill she was nominated they screamed that President Obama was not qualified, then they shut up.

They screamed that President Obama never had any real world experience this time... I guess they will shut up now.

I personally do not belive someone my age with no military experience is very likely to be qualified to be CIC.

Sure...that's why Ryan was dumped from the Orlando trip today...

He's a Koch Brother hack and looks like Eddy Munster....
Idk...he's my "type"...probably hung like a horse too. Although, rumors have it he's being called "lil Koch".

Will you promise to leave the forum if Romney loses?

And the same experience as Obama in getting them passed. :)

So I guess the need to own or run a business and "career politician" noise is out the window.

Funny thing is neither of them have served in the military nor do they have foreign policy experience. Zip, nada.

Oh. And both want to voucherize the VA. Traitors!

What happened to the idea that the VP should be fully experienced and capable of RUNNING the NATION in a crisis if the President is DEAD?

Who is Paul Ryan?

Paul Ryan's Jack Abramoff And Tom DeLay Connections Likely To Draw New Scrutiny

WASHINGTON -- As Rep. Paul Ryan (R-Wis.) has served more than a decade in Congress, President Barack Obama and his allies will surely be scouring his extensive voting record, if they haven't done so already. But along with key votes, the Democrats have begun to highlight some of the questionable relationships that Ryan has acquired during his time in Washington. Among them, expect to see a re-examination of Ryan's ties to former House Majority Leader Tom DeLay and disgraced lobbyist Jack Abramoff.

The pro-Obama super PAC American Bridge has already unveiled an opposition research book about Ryan that documents the Republican's ties to those symbols of Washington excess. Information pulled from the book and elsewhere shows that Ryan was an ardent defender of DeLay.

One year before DeLay was indicted on conspiracy and money laundering charges, Ryan called the attacks "gutter politics at its worst," according to the Washington Post. And added: "You're going to see a big rallying around Tom."
