MSNBC’s Touré: Romney Engaging In The “Niggerization” Of Obama By Calling Him Angry –

I have a question for you, Dix. Suppose you had a choice between two candidates offering identical platforms; one, who like Obama, didn't have a long form birth certificate but lived their entire life in the US and the other who supplied a birth certificate but had lived in, say, Greece for 10 years and France for 10 years and had returned to the US a year ago. Which candidate would you favor?

I don't know, it would depend on their platforms. But it's beside the point, really. I just made an observation, I didn't express a personal opinion on Obama's legitimacy. We have a law that says you can't hold the office unless you were born in the US. The only exception is if you were born abroad to American citizens. Obama's father isn't an American citizen, so if he was not born in the US, he can't legitimately hold the office. Therefore, it is legitimate to ask for confirmation of his birth in the US... this has not a goddamn thing to do with his color OR his politics... it's just a matter of upholding the law. Now maybe we need to change the law? Maybe you don't think the law is cool? I am not debating any of that, just stating a fact... if this is what the laws says, then it becomes a legitimate question, and if you don't answer it, will continue to be asked.

Here's the problems, Dix. No one, and especially not Obama, is trying to destroy anything. All they're trying to do is look out for the less fortunate.

They are doing a good job of destroying capitalism, and as for helping the needy, you are FAILING! Your ideas don't work! People still suffer, people are still in poverty, after 70 years of pouring all our wealth into changing the dynamic, and you are here arguing it's worse than ever, people just can't take it anymore and something has to be done! Well, we've been doing it all your way for 70 years now, and if we haven't even made a dent in the problem, it's probably time to step back and reevaluate the situation... maybe try something new?

Do you not think that when he sent in his cv and cover letter with references someone might just have considered checking his claims. Or do you think the entire population of America is waiting for you to do it? I sometimes wonder if you really know who you are and what part other people play in the governance of this planet. can imagine the headlines now:
President of America sacked and sent back to Africa. Loony old man finds the hidden secret. Loony old man gets medal. Hurrah for Dixie. And all the American gays will be singing, I wish I was in..... well, you know the rest.

I know that we haven't seen his long-form birth certificate, and that is the issue with his birth. I haven't said a thing about whether I think he was legitimately born in the US, this isn't about my opinion or what I think about it. The law says what it says, and he has not given the sufficient documentation to confirm his compliance. I can't help that, I didn't make that happen, it's just the way things are.

He appears to have given sufficient documentation for your countrymen. Not only that but you should be thankful that he is doing a far better job than the fool he took over from and a far better job than the fool who thinks he can wear the crown.
Go have a beer and consider what your country might have been without this man whose colour and ethnicity you hate so much.

No, just "Fundamentally transform" it eh? Regardless of what the people want, or what the Constitution says.

If you understood what Socialism actually entails you'd understand.

This is not a socialist country. Never has been, and wasn't set up as one. If you want to live in a socialist country, or more socialist than here, then go to one....Canada springs to mind.....

He appears to have given sufficient documentation for your countrymen.

No, it appears he obviously hasn't, or it wouldn't be an issue.

Not only that but you should be thankful that he is doing a far better job than the fool he took over from and a far better job than the fool who thinks he can wear the crown.

It doesn't matter how good of a job he's done, or how much better than Bush he is, or if he shits gold turds! We have a law, it says you can't be president if you weren't born here, and he hasn't proven he was.

Go have a beer and consider what your country might have been without this man whose colour and ethnicity you hate so much.

I don't need a beer, I don't need to consider anything. The man's race has nothing to do with this. Is there some fucking rule somewhere that says black people don't have to follow the same laws as the rest of society? Again, the law states you have to be born here to be president, it doesn't stipulate that this doesn't apply to black presidents.

Knock it off for crissakes. You are flogging a horse that is not only dead, it was in the pie you had last week. And you are making yourself look very very silly

Knock it off for crissakes. You are flogging a horse that is not only dead, it was in the pie you had last week. And you are making yourself look very very silly

How am I flogging anything by asking a valid question or making a legitimate point.

I have not discussed what my personal opinion is, or made any sort of claim regarding Obama's birth. I merely pointed out that those who do, have a legitimate complaint. They are asking a question that hasn't been answered sufficiently, and they have that legitimate right. It does not matter if I agree with them or disagree with them, they have the right to ask the question and we deserve to have it answered to the satisfaction of all. If you want to interpret something into that, it's your business, I was just stating a fact and making an observation.

A big dent has been made compared to how the people suffered back in the 30s before SS amd other social programs. Check out the history. Also, we have to consider the world has changed. Free trade. Jobs have moved. Technology has replaced human labor. We need comprehensive social policies to deal with the changes.

None of the usual suspects on here are taking your side. You are shouting at the moon Dixie. Even if your president was a green and white striped martian there would be nothing you could do about it. No one is answering your question so you are flogging a well dead quadruped.

I'm not sating a "side" here, I thought I made that clear my last post. I didn't say I wanted something done about it. I didn't ask a question, even! All I said was, the people who question the legitimacy of his birth, have a right to. I'm an impartial referee here, just making a call. I don't care if you or anyone else agrees with me, that's how I see it. Obama has not sufficiently proven he was born in the US! Maybe he was? I don't know! I can't confirm it because I don't have the proper documentation to go by!

If the president was confirmed to be a green and white Martian, and wasn't born in the US, there is indeed something that could be done about that, he could be impeached. Nancy Pelosi could probably be impeached as well, and possibly sent to prison. I also don't have evidence Obama WASN'T born in the US, so I can't make that allegation either. Maybe he was, and we've just not seen the proof? Again... I don't know, I am just playing the referee here. But what it sounds like, what I keep hearing from the left is... SO WHAT?

It's as if the left doesn't really care if he was born here or not, and if you think that is an important detail, you must be a racist! ...Or maybe, you're just someone who thinks the rule of law is important and we should try and follow it? Even for black people!

Fictional Uncle Tom busts his ass to keep his family safe and together and he is made a traitor to his people for it. Nat Turner blew up and became a monster. There is no middle ground you can take that would satisfy them. There is some reason to dismiss your choices, not just criticize, as a possible option. These two bogeyman will keep you still and keep you dancing at the same time. Fight back but don't fight back. Cooperate but don't cooperate. Submit, that is the real message.

They leave you with no possible guide for dealing with two imperfect choices. Life is a series of imperfect choices. The poor are surrounded by disruptive and out of control individuals that they are supposed to fear and rely on at the same time. How do they navigate those dark labyrinths? The kids who have not constantly been faced with two really bad options will tell you how they think they would handle such dilemma's based on something they saw in a movie and will pretend their claim is some sort of moral virtue. Hell, they will tell jurist to consider fictional accounts (they just killed a man Texas based on how well Lenny understood his actions). Poor John Steinbeck whose primary message was not socialism, but compassion and empathy for others.

We don't teach our children how to think. We teach them to fear difference and to punish anybody who takes bold actions. You will never make it out of the sewer without bold actions. They are always ready to come down on the poor with both feet as soon as you make a mistake that they can get the mob excited about. The poorer you are the harder it hits because your parents cannot protect you and your neighbors are certain all the problems are coming from those kids over there (not theirs).

I am tired of seeing poor kids getting their shit stomped in before they even get a chance, while the rich kids get away with murder. We are all for tough love for the criminals until it is one of ours. These ideas of perfection keep the poor down.

What in the hell is this all about? And how does it related to the OP? Just curious.

Well, they can deny it all they want, but by the glory of the internet the average American can produce the actual quote and say, "C'mon man, YOU said it! You meant it! Don't piss on my intelligence and call it lemonade".

1. A "true" American would be a citizen whom we can verify and confirm, was born in America. Since we do not have this evidence with Obama, it is a legitimate question, and if you don't like the question or if the question is a problem it can all be remedied by Obama releasing the long-form of his actual birth certificate.

the Dixie dunce rides again! Neocon/teabagger cranks, flunkies and parrots just DENY FACTS to the contrary. The US STATE Dept., the State of Florida & Illinois DMV, the State of Florida's hospital AND TWO OLD newpapers announcing the man's date of birth all convirms the man's legitimacy. Dummies like Dixie just keep repeating the big lie in order to give comfort to the haters and political enemies of Obama with stubbornees that achieves insipidness.

2. "Messiah" has routinely been used to describe Obama by people on message boards and forums, in blogs and such, but I don't recall a major political figure ever using this word to describe Obama. Hardly a pejorative word, it is used to signify the Messianic nature of his followers, more than a statement about him.

I never stated that a " major political figure" stated such, did I, my Dixie Dunce? See, you need to either sharpen your reading comprehension skills or stop trying to bold faced lie about what others write.

3. Barack the Magic Negro finds its origin with a left-wing liberal columnist, writing for the LA Times. Does butter melt in his mouth????

According to neocon.teabagger flunkies , EVERY newspaper, magazine, TV and radio station that doees not lock step with Drudge or Crowley or Krathhammer or Kristol is "left-wing liberal". That dog only flies in the fantasy world of neocon/teabagger flunkies like our Dixie here. Prove it!

I think you meant Hawaii and not Florida, dumbass. But none of these sources have given us a long-form birth certificate, which Obama MUST have if he were legitimately born in the United States. Old newspapers are great, but they are hardly official public records, especially from the 1950s. Anyone can write a birth announcement and pay the paper to run it, the paper doesn't confirm the information or ask for official verification. The State Dept. is accepting Nancy Pelosi's word for it, that he was born in Hawaii. The DMV and other agencies are accepting his certificate of birth, which anyone can apply for and obtain without proving they were actually born where they claim. Yes it does appear that Obama's relatives certainly made it appear he was legitimately born in the US... so where is the long-form certificate signed by the attending physician who delivered the Baby O? THAT is what we need to confirm his actual birth in Hawaii, and anything other than that, doesn't "prove" he was. Sorry!

just keep repeating the big lie in order to give comfort to the haters and political enemies of Obama with stubbornees

I've not repeated a lie, I stated a FACT. We have not seen the long-form birth certificate. Until that is produced, the people who question the legitimacy of his birth are justified. That's all I've said, I have no idea whether he was or wasn't born in Hawaii... but I tell ya what, I'm starting to believe maybe he wasn't, because why not just release the long-form birth certificate and be done with all this? It makes no sense, if one exists.

I never stated that a " major political figure" stated such, did I?

This is what you said: "the neocon/teabagger driven GOP and it's punditry has been has been putting forth insinuations..."

So yeah, that's what you most certainly implied. But it's nice to see you've now publicly admitted you were full of shit.

Okay... here is the originator of the phrase:

http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/David_Ehrenstein

In March 2007, Ehrenstein wrote an opinion piece on Barack Obama, in which he used the archetype of the magical negro to describe Obama, who was then an Illinois senator and candidate for the Democratic Party's nomination for president. The title of the piece, "Obama the 'Magic Negro‚'" was later used in a musical parody called Barack the Magic Negro by conservative satirist Paul Shanklin. This piece of music caused some controversy in late December, 2008, when compact discs featuring the song were distributed by Tennessee political activist Chip Saltsman (a candidate for chairman of the Republican National Committee) to various Republican Party activists as Christmas gifts. Part of Saltsman's response to the controversy was that the song was actually a parody of Ehrenstein's "irresponsible" column itself, rather than a parody of Obama. Ehrenstein responded to the controversy in a in late December stating, "As everyone knows Whites feel no guilt about America’s racist history whatsoever. All they care about is the appearance of politesse — the slimy veneer of “good manners.” Clearly the Republican party (racist to its very core) is “split” over what to do in the wake of having lost so much political capital. Chip and his ilk want to continue making childish attacks. Others in the party seek to turn chicken shit into chicken salad by claiming Obama is the second coming of Ronald Reagan.".[4]

the only thing you should be sorry for is lying your flabby ass off or being willfully ignorant enough to still parrot this dreck, my Dixie Dunce. The President has released long and short forms of his birth document that has been verified by the proper authorities....assholes like you just won't accept reality.

All that's proven is that you're a complete jackass, my Dixie Dunce. Where is the proof that Ehrenstein is a member of the Democratic Party or pundit thereof? By your simplistic thinking, if he isn't goose stepping to the Republican "pledge" then he's a communist/socialist/facist Obama loyalist. And of course, EVERY news media has liberal bias according to you....which contradicts such an article apprearing in the first place! But as your dubious wikipedia excerpt explains, this guy is a clown, and the right wingnut media just took it an ran with it to the bigoted conclusion.

Thanks for proving what an ass kissing neocon/teabagger parrot your are again, my dixie dunce! Carry on.
