The GOP keeps digging deeper and deeper.

Oh, of course they won't! How the hell else could the DNC have a known philanderer and accused rapist be their keynote speaker on the Pro-Women platform?

And "Women's Issues?" Tell me, what exactly ARE these issues? Abortion rights? Contraception? Is this ALL the DNC thinks is important to women in America? How does it feel, ladies, to be treated like a bunch of air headed bimbos? Here's some free contraceptives, vote for US, we care about women! Are women so shallow that's all it takes? Like throwing candy to a baby... here's you some contraceptives sweetie, now make sure to give us your support! Does the DNC not think women care about jobs and the economy, and our debt crisis? Apparently so! Apparently all it takes is dangling free contraceptives at them, and they will just tag along!

While the rest of us have a choice, we can either support this Marxist Socialist and his agenda to destroy America and be "for women," or we can support the Constitution, freedom and liberty, and be "against women!"

Well, when the GOP has people in positions of authority making absurd claims like "legitimate rape doesn't cause pregnancy" or calling the result of the rape a blessing, women tend to take notice.

Isn't it ironic... The Republicans have Romney and Ryan, two devoted and loyal husbands and fathers, who have never cheated on their wives, never been accused of sexual harassment, and certainly never rape. And the Democrat's keynote speaker at their convention will be a man who was accused of sexual harassment and rape, cheated on his wife, and lied to her and the American people about it, resulting in his own impeachment and disbarment... but Democrats are FOR women, and Republicans are AGAINST women?
I thought the Democrat's keynote speaker was Elizabeth Warren?

"I believe that there is a place for people to look for a message that's big enough to deal with the size of America's challenges today," Akin said in an interview Tuesday on conservative commentator Sean Hannity's radio show.

"And the defense of the unborn and the deep respect for life which underlie our American culture are very important, and I don't think we should run away from them."

She is speaking on economics. Bill Clinton will speak and officially nominate Obama. There will also be speeches by Michelle Obama and a recorded speech from Jimmy Carter, because he is not attending the convention.

Thanks for clarifying.

Will Bush be speaking at the RNC?

I get the sense that political self-interest is driving this debate more than concerns about policy or principle.

The Republican Party's chorus of disapproval came because Akin stands to lose his race in Missouri and quite possibly cost the GOP control of the Senate.

Being embarrassed by Akin's comments is not the same thing as condemning those policies.

When the republican party has gone against Planned Parenthood (a major source of breast cancer screening) whether Romney or Ryan have ever cheated is pretty much irrelevant.

right.....because everyone knows the Republicans aren't concerned about abortion.....their only goal is to stop breast cancer screening.........that argument only works on idiots.....and they're already registered Democrats......

And who makes the argument that PP only performs abortions to the exclusion of providing breast cancer screening as well as numerous wellness services?

An argument believed only by mindless fools?

The man said something utterly stupid ONE TIME, to which he has apologized profusely for and which was roundly condemned by virtually everyone in his party. How many times has it been repeated by the Democrats? How much have they exploited the comments for political advantage? We're going into our second week of media coverage on it, and no end in sight. The man made one bonehead statement.... yet Biden can churn out bonehead statements left and right, on an hourly basis, and "that's just Biden!"

What's worse, a Republican making a stupid comment to which he has apologized for, or Democrats exploiting rape for political advantage, over and over and over again? A person who thinks life is a blessing regardless of how it came about, or people who want to twist and distort that comment into an outright misrepresentation, for political gain? There are thousands of people out there who have been the victim of rape, and here you are, using rape as a political football! Despicable. Even MORE despicable than someone who made a stupid comment and then apologized for it, in my opinion.

The man said something utterly stupid ONE TIME

He's not said it one time. He's said it repeatedly for twenty years. He's also not apologized for saying it. He says he was "misunderstood".

And this brain dead fool is on the House Science Committee?

No, excuse me buttmunch, he hasn't been saying what he said for 20 years, or else we would have heard about it. And everyone who has ever apologized for saying something stupid, has said they were "misunderstood." Of course, that doesn't apply to Joe Biden, who has said all kinds of much more outrageous things, and never has apologized for any of them. Tell me, do you think it would be "fair game" for the Republicans to parade around some of Biden's gaffes and proclaim that's what the whole Democrat party thinks? How about we do that days on end the next time the Gaffing Blunder opens his yapper and lets something stupid fly out?

Exactly! And repubs are glossing over the part where Akin said the woman parts will work to foil a pregnancy that resulted from rape. Clearly the man doesn't have two working brain cells to rub together.

No, it wasn't ONE TIME. Hence you have no valid point at all, as usual.
