Whether you support Paul or not, this should disturb every republican voter.

"Paul did not win a single state, but his ardent followers worked arcane local and state party rules to take over several state delegations, including garnering 20 of Maine’s 24 spots. The RNC decided to replace 10 of them, effectively stopping the state from being able to submit Paul’s name for nomination. (In response, the state’s Republican governor, a Romney supporter, decided to boycott the convention.)"

"As the roll call of states commenced, several states listed votes for both Romney and Paul. When repeating back the count, those at the podium cited only the Romney votes."

WTF?

It is not about Ron Paul. The liberal GOP establishment is trying to marginalize conservatives. They don't like to be called bad names by the liberal media like Hissy fit Matthews.

When will they learn?

A) you can't ever get them to like you. McShamnesty learned that
B) you can't negotiate with liberal terrorists
C) the GOP can't win without conservatives

I was going to hold my nose and vote for Mitt, but I may be forced back to Plan A

You are absolutely right about one thing, its not about Ron Paul. It is about the GOP wanting to take away whatever doesn't fit what they want in place. It is about changing the rules so that no other candidate is recognized, regardless of whether the people voted for them or not.

It is about a political party choosing which votes counted and which did not.

Political parties are not public entities. They do what is in their percieved best interests .. and they make the rules.

Ron Paul's campaign and quest to be president ain't going nowhere. It ain't happening .. he's never going to be the president. Nice pipe dream but it's over.

The Republican Party deems it critical that there not be any contention during their dog and pony show, thus, they correctly moved to limit the damage potential by Paul supporters.

Given the mindset of Paul supporters, I'm not sure that it could have been handled any better.
