Ok im not up on the specifics, but here's my understanding. He did his mission, then he was doing other things. When he was doing the mission he was obeying the rules(and one does not F*** with the mormons on stupid rules) and then he got transferred into a more luxurious home.


I don't mind attacks on Romney, I'd just like them to have a basis other than, "He's rich" I'm not going to hate somebody because he won the universe lottery and was born to a sucessful family. Same reason I want people to go after Obama for his policies not because "he's a a secret muslim/communist/kenyan".

exactly. when he lived in the big house, he was no longer a missionary. howey has run from this fact for days now.

Hence he has no experience of poverty. So why use it in his self promotion?
We had a government minister here, worse than Romney I must say. She said that people who were complaining about living on HK$1000/m were whining and she would go and show them how possible it was.
She arrived in one of the poorest parts of town early one morning, having slept very well in her mansion, and at lunch, she and an old lady went to a restaurant and bought HK$10 of steamed rice. Later in the day she repeated the procedure. She then reported back to say that anyone could live on HK$20 per day! and still have HK$300-400 for accomodation.
She disappeared from the public view later the same day and only reappeared when she had found a local spin doctor to report that, in fact she wasn't trying to prove anything, she just wanted to research poverty.
So I repeat. For Romney (m or f) to even suggest they know what it is like to be locked in a poverty trap and that his policies will do anything to alleviate such things is obscene.
Americans are not known as gullible for nothing.
Just because someone famous says something does not make it true. In reality the reverse is usually the case.
This isn't whining either. Simply trying to correct the gullible.

No. He was still on a mission. He was on a mission the entire time in France. He moved into the palace months before he killed the woman in the car accident. After he himself recuperated in the States, he returned to the palace to continue his mission. Nowhere has this been disputed other than by idiots who argue for the sake of arguing.

you claimed he was a missionary at the time, that is completely false. first lie....now the second lie is that he killed the woman in the car accident when in truth it was a catholic drunk priest who caused the accident.

Sock puppets aren't frowned upon here like they are at other forums...

I'm sure there was a certain intrigue for Mitt (and also Ann, while they were in college), to 'play' poor for the sake of feigning humility, or as some silly character-building 'exercise'. No amount of playing will duplicate the experience of going without, day after day, year after year, as do those born into poverty. Any assertion that Mitt might know how the other (poor) half lives because of his stupid mission experience is beyond insulting.

That's surprising...I'm not one for overmoderating, but that's not overmodding, it's not funny (in fact it's pretty pitiful), and it's not clever. It's just stupid to allow it.

It's not encouraged, and if abused could be the cause of termination of posting privildges. It is about freedom of speech.

10. Dual Accounts - Don't go overboard. I'll allow a couple, but myriad accounts will not be allowed... and duplicates used to break rules will result in temp banning for all accounts... and removal of duplicates.

11. No Posing. Definition: Creating a "troll" account that matches another user's account. These accounts will be banned, leaving your other account open. Unless it was done for the purpose of intimidation, you will likely lose permanently all access to the site if such is the case.
