U of C Prediction: Romney Wins

i was going to say their economic predictions are a bit early, but they already addressed that. that said, past predictions, statistically speaking, have no bearing on future predictions.

i would be curious about more info on the 2000 election...the article said they predicted it correctly, but did the predict the popular and electoral correctly or just one?

this is probably your answer....
And though they chiefly focus on the Electoral College,.....

If you can correctly predict the Electoral vote, then the popular vote is irreverent. Guessing the 2000 election exactly correct would be like winning both showcases on The Price is Right. You already won, but now you have extra stuff, and a ton of bragging rights.

yeah but if there is one thing different about this election than any others is that this may be the first time in american history that the challenger will have spent more money than the incumbent, which undoubtedly is a factor in romneys favor. Not to mention that undecideds often break for the challenger in elections with high disapproval ratings.

Romney definitely has some good factors going for him

dude, lets just take that down to its lowest common denominator and say that if a lot of people don't like someone they won't vote for him and he loses.....
