Congrats! We all belong to the government!!!

I am not relying on the polls from August/early Sept to tell us anything other than where things stand today. Pretending otherwise is simply your feeble straw man attempt. Did you have fun knocking your straw man down?

I posted the polls to demonstrate that no one is whining about 'losing' when currently they are tied. I also pointed out (which you obviously ignored) that Obama should get a bounce from this week. I also stated clearly (which you ignored) that he was simply overestimating Obama winning when the current trends have shown incorrect. Again, that trend will likely swing again after this week.

Whatever you need to tell yourself, SF. No skin off my ass.

For once I agree with Freaky, but for different reasons. What's the best way to control people, to own them? Take away their opportunity to work and earn money, stop upward mobility and concentrate the wealth and power at the very top... the very things the right has always fought for. Since Citizens United allows foreign billions to influence our elections and corporate funded organizations like ALEC and the Heritage Foundation make the laws of the land, we the people have become a 'human resource' to be used and discarded when old or in need of repair.
That's the real meaning of "the government involved in every aspect of our lives."

would you like a very simple and straightforward way to remove the influence of CU?

Romney is pulling $ out of Michigan and Pennsylvania and is pumping money into North Carolina. If he's conceding the former two states and is playing defense on the latter, he's in trouble.

Relying on polls in August is silly. A few days out from the end of this convention we ought to know who has the momentum.

Also, too, a teleprompter joke?

what do you mean he's pulling out money? he's only gotten access to his major warchest last week

PA was always a long shot for romney
michigan is doable, but probably not the best use of his resources until other areas are more solidified

Sorry. Romney backers are pulling out of Michigan and PA and Romney isn't including them among his first batch of battleground state ad buys.

you're kidding, right? you have seen the enormous bloated budget increase as our government has increased in size, have you not?
No I'm not kidding. Size and effieciency are not mutually exclusive. I work for a very lage company, compared to our smaller competitors we are far more efficient.

Nor are they mutually inclusive. HOWEVER, larger governments are much better at oppression, and if you disagree, I think you only need to fly somewhere to see that I'm right.

Of course there is a case to be made that we do belong to the gov't.

We pay taxes so that we can keep our belongings. The gov't can institute a draft and force us into the military. Our property can be taken, and what we are paid is determined by gov't employees. Our privacy is a joke. And most recently, we can be taken and imprisoned, without a trial, as long as they claim we are a "terrorist" threat.
