100-year-old driver hits 11 people in Los Angeles

My plan is to build up enough personal wealth so that by the time I am 100, I can just pay someone to do the driving for me. These incidents are sad, because I am opposed in principal to the idea of yanking driving privileges away from people just because they hit old age, but I recognize the threat many of them pose to public safety.

I expect that one day society will force seniors to start taking driving tests when they get over 65 in order to renew their licenses, just to make sure they are still of sound mind and body to drive.
 
It is one of those touchy subjects, since so many elderly vote. The surest way would be to have everyone have to take the driving test.
 
Officers are investigating the incident, but it does not appear that Carter will be charged, police told the affiliate .

Runs over 11 people and all of them are sent to the hospital, but no charges filed???

We're very good at letting people get away if they're "Not of sound mind". Never mind the fact that 11 people in are in the hospital and this guy might decide to get in a car again. Only one of the facets of corrections is deterrence, we need to focus on incapacitation. Keep this guy off the street and away from any heavy machinery.
