TRIPOLI, Libya -- The U.S. ambassador to Libya and three American members of his staff were killed in the attack on the U.S. consulate in the eastern city of Benghazi by protesters angry over a film that ridiculed Islam's Prophet Muhammad, Libyan officials said Wednesday.

They said Ambassador Chris Stevens was killed Tuesday night when he and a group of embassy employees went to the consulate to try to evacuate staff as the building came under attack by a mob guns and rocket propelled grenades.

Benghazi is and has been the world's hotbed for terrorists for many years. It is the home to Al Queda, and the Al Queda flag flies over government buildings there. Many of the fighters who killed American soldiers in Iraq were from Benghazi. The so-called 'rebels' that Obama used to destroy Libya were from that area.

Stevens played a role in the destruction of Libya and assisted the Al Queda fighters. He was the American envoy to the rebel movement and the same sect of fighters he helped to destroy Libya have killed him.

The cruel irony of what we do.

Come on, that's like saying that Bill Maher's film incited American Christians to bomb something. They have no right to murder people because they think their fake daddy in the sky is offended over something.

Just as we had no right to mass-murder thousands of innocent Libyan citizens and destroy the country.

Our hands are far bloodier than these morons.

I don't disagree with that sister. But we murdered a LOT of innocent people.

What we did in Libya was a crime against humanity.

I saw it happeneing last night, thought the same " what have we unleashed?" say what you want to about Gaddafi, he ruled the country, didn't let a bunch of THUGS ( NTC leadrship, and the gang out of Bengazi in their pick up trucks) run him off.
He shelled them.
If we hadn't gone freaking berzerk about "oh the horror" and proceeded to bomb Libya....
Welll I can't say for sure - Ican say for sure Libya, and it' ppl (by and large) were better off under Gaddafi. He loved his country.

Whom knows what's going on -but the black flag over the destoyed US consulate is typical AQ

Now we'll hear the excuses spin, Just STAY OUT OF FOREIGN CIVIL WARS, and then you won't get "blowback"
 
Watching Morning Joe on my DVR - they're blaming the film, that nutcase pastor hyped. That was the catalyst -not the cause.

The spin is already up and running. Don't look at the US/NATO Sock puppet role in this -Oh no -were the GOOD GUYS.

Here's the punch line .. American taxpayer dollars helped pay for the murder of the US Ambassador.

And guess what? They never found all the shoulder fired missiles they WE let fall into the hands of these same murderers.

MANPADS (Man-portable air-defense systems (MANPADS or MPADS) are shoulder- launched surface-to-air missiles
-I think a bunch were found in Algeria (majority still missing -and the Algerian find was never confirmed)
Algerian security forces have found a large cache of weapons, including shoulder-fired missiles, which they believe were smuggled in from neighbouring Libya, a security source briefed on the discovery told Reuters on Saturday.

The find follows warnings from governments in the region that instability in Libya after the end of Muammar Gaddafi's rule is allowing weapons taken from Gaddafi's arsenal to fall into the hands of al Qaeda's north African branch and other insurgent groups across the Sahara desert.

Its synergistic effect. - like droning homes in AfPak. you kill a few leaders - but AQ is diffuse now, and they pop up somewhere else.

We're heavily droning Yemen - the latest fiasco, in support of the North, the south are "rebels with TIES to AQ"
Thing is the ties are localized there isn't a central network anymore.

It's perpetual war, but other's use that phrase, and since this is west v. Muslims - i'm calling it Crusades 2.0.

EDIT: call it what you want, but AQ is following the bin Laden manifesto, bleed the troops and treasuries of the west.

Riddle me this .. We are sending drones all over the world .. at 20 million a pop .. to kill Al Queda leaders .. yet, at the same time we are funding Al Queda and its leaders.

What's the answer?
