Portrait of a Modern Feminist: Helen Smith

Nice try, loser. The issue was never 'are there ever any false rape charges'. You CHOOSE specifically to talk about it during discussions of real rape. Context is everything. The fact that you are incapable of grasping the fact that your shit's hopelessly transparent, despite it being pointed out to you numerous times, is your problem, not mine.

Look, I started that thread and if I wanted to move the discussion on I didn't need to seek your approval. Start your own thread and then you might have a case for dictating the terms. Now I choose to end it, at least with you as you contribute nothing except to attempt to score some points.

You keep bringing up permission and/or approval. See if you can get this, idiot: No one GIVES A SHIT what you post. However - you will be judged according to what you DO post. That's why you're now seen as pathetic, embittered little needledick. Suck it, loser.

He has no experience in that department, wait ten years and his first divorce and get back to him!
I heard that. I got taken completely to the cleaners in mine. The only thing I got was my college books and my dog. She got everything else. The house, both cars, the savings, fortunately there were no kids involved and I didn't get stuck with alimony. I was pissed at first but eventually I said "Fuck it" and got on with my life. Considering I got the dog, I feel I was the one who came out ahead. I mean there's lots of women out there but a good dog is hard to find!! ;)

Well let's hope you don't piss off your Filipina, I'm sure that the sistas are indoctrinating her on the US legal system.
Oh yes. She has become aware, having said that....I chose well with her. She also knows I simply adore the ground she walks upon and that I spoil her rotten and that it would be real hard to find another like me. The fact that I aint exactly hard on the eyes and make a decent income don't hurt either. :)

I don't know how you get around the fact that many smart and educated women decide they would rather stay home and raise their family or take part-time work instead of staying on the fast track corporate career (after having children). As long as that continues to be the case it seems to me men are going to continue to dominate the ranks of upper management in large corporations.

You and Mott said the same thing so I'd like your opinions on why more men don't take a leave of absence from the work force to stay home with their children.

Wow, Tom, she knows your size! Never knew you'd been down in the swamp!

:hand:

If I were one of the people she was evaluating for the courts, I would point her bias out to the court, liberal blather! Interesting.

I know, that was an unintended insight into how she looks at her patients. Liberals blather, I suppose conservatives "engage in the process."

Needledick? I love it. Women who will decry men reducing women to tits and ass will immediately come out with the dick insult whenever it suits them. I always say, For a five gallon bucket, even a Louisville Slugger seems small.

See above. It's an expression, about how bitter Tom is. But hey, knock yourself out. I hear 'cunt' is a favorite around here. Have fun. :)

Mott, I have a few questions, because in Alaska the assets would be divided, unless there were young children. Did your wife work outside the home or was she a stay at home wife, at your insistence?

Your divorce was extremely unfair if here were no children, even with children I have never heard of a decision that was this one sided. My two friends recently split from their husbands, both stay at home wives, they got half of the assets and no alimony. The other friends with children, split assets and custody. Alaska is a no fault divorce state. My other friend, hubby got custody of the child and there were no marital assets.

It is interesting how each case is determined. Thanks

I really am at the point where I want to put this entire thread on IA. Let's see, last time Tom went on a rampage I stopped talking to one person here who had been a friend, who I honestly will never speak to again, ever, for any reason. And another one who I was just a bit friendly with.

You used to be able to ignore threads, what happened to that feature? While I still have one or two friends left, where's that feature?

I can only answer that based on my experiences and what I've observed. I understand not all men might think this way. I don't know if this is just a product of where I went to school or where I live but men basically define themselves by their work and how much money they make. I can't recall ever hearing a single male friend/acquatenance (sp) say they wanted to stay home with the kids while their wife works. That's not to say it couldn't happen I've just never heard anyone talk about it.

First off, I did read the whole article, and in many ways she is correct. Men, even when they get sole custody of their children, and it happens more than you think, they rarely if ever qualify for WIC. In most states you will find little to no pursuit of women who own back child support. Currently in NM several attorney's are looking into a class action suit because men are almost NEVER assisted by Child Support Enforcement in getting back child support from Women. The local head of CSED is on record as saying a man who has sole custody of his children shouldn't be looking for handouts from the state. In the area of Domestic Violence, women need no evidence anymore. Their word is all that is required to get a restraining order and finding of domestic violence. My own ex-wife had a seizure, was able to call me just before she seized, hit the foot board of our bed and went out like a light. After I got to the house, gave her the meds to stop the seizure and then left, she called the police and told them the mark on her head was from me punching her. Luckily the next day she divulged to another lawyer that she lied to the police and he reported it. Nonetheless, because at the time she said her injury was from my striking her I was arrested, a temporary restraining order was imposed and I was removed from a rental property we owned because she said we both lived there even though she resided in our house and I was living in the rental. Subsequently I was able to prove to the court that I lived their alone and the order was withdrawn. Women, through VAWA have been able to claim domestic violence without ever having called the police, telling another soul about it and courts just take their word for it without a scintilla of evidence.

Who has ever spoken against equality, what myself and others rail against is the refusal of some to see that there is another side to the debate. I also disagree with the notion that you have to be liberal to be for equality.

The US Senate voted against paycheck equity back in June 2012 with every repub voting no. The first Lily Ledbetter paycheck fairness act was defeated in April 2008 by Senate Republicans. The 2nd time it was introduced the votes were along party lines, most repubs voting no, most dems voting yes. Fortunately this one passed in 2009. So in my book that looks like repubs voting against equality in the workplace.

I don't think you have to be liberal to be for equality, that's not how it is in the real world. But in our political realm today, conservatives regularly have shown themselves to be against issues of equality for women. That's the only thing that counts in the end because those are the people who have the power to put their beliefs into law.

And to show you where the bias lay, Compare leftwing Feminists view of Wolf's The Beauty Myth to Paglia's Sexual Personae.

@ Bijou: I know, but gotcha moments are fun.

I have been at work on night shifts, and keep hearing the "make me a sandwich" and "women are drama" lines, and they piss me off. I'll never be considered a feminist, but I do find men bitching about women to be annoying. As a boy, I viewed manhood as stoic and uncomplaining, and as I grew up, I observed that most guys didn't fit my perfect image of manliness, and became disappointed. Women, however, were always charming, kind, helpful, and often beautiful and courageous. They lived up to the hype.

Since almost all of the article had nothing to do with what you posted, I think you read only what you wanted to read.

Of course few men qualify for WIC. Gosh, it stand for "Women, infants, children" do you think that might be a hint????

Is this the fault of feminists? Of course not. It's the fault of cons who wanted welfare "reform" which I am staunchly against. I fully support welfare for men, but let us not forget in between our sobbing for the terrible injustices done to them that many men, since (what I consider to be unfair) welfare reform, backdoor in through SS disability.

Let 's not pretend that WIC is some sort of lottery win for God sakes. It's meant for women with infants and very young children who cannot feed those children. If men are the sole providers of small children they can apply for and receive benefits under TANF. Both programs fall woefully short of providing enough for the children.

I'm sorry you married a crazy woman who falsely accused you of domestic violence. That has no bearing on the millions of women beaten every day in their homes. But I did have one tiny little tear fall while reading of your tragedy.

You may never be considered a feminist, but you've failed miserably as a misogynist. :good4u:
