Tethered to their rapists

C'mon Cawacko, did you miss my red highlighted text? He admitted what he did and used custody as a bargaining chip.

His offer, “I’ll leave you alone and let go of the custody thing as long as you don’t try to prosecute me for what I did”

Look, I hate to be pedantic but that is not the same as an admission. Going to court is a lottery at the best of times.

It's funny that's what ID and USLoyal used to call me, amongst other things, I must be doing something right if I get called that by both neocon and loony lefty women.

You get called that because you obviously can't please women. That's why they're repulsed by you. And you stupidly blame them for it, and hate them because of it, which makes you a scumbag misogynist.

Glad you think it's funny that women see you clearly, needledick. Your humour will help you get through all the inevitable loneliness.

I should have done this a while ago but you are now on ignore along with Legion's trolls.

Goody. And everyone else can still see my posts, needledick. So please - continue making an ass of yourself and revealing why you're called needledick, and I'll keep pointing it out each time you do. :D

Wouldn't he go to jail though if found guilty of rape? He can't have custody of a kid in jail can he?

Can he have visitation rights while in jail?

And is there a difference between 'legal' and 'physical' custody? Can he have 'legal' custody while in jail?

He would go to jail if she followed through on the charges and if he was found guilty. No he can't have custody in jail but he may be able to sue for visitation, and then custody when he's released.

So the law allows a man guilty of rape to have visitation rights in jail? (And I'm assuming the kid has no choice he/she has to visit?)

[h=3]Do Republicans Revere Rapists?[/h]

This isn't an issue that just popped up; the entire Republican Party is rotten with people who simply assume that women's views simply don't enter into the equation, and has been for quite some time.

Let's tally what Republicans have said about rape so far:

  • Women can't ever get pregnant from rape and they are probably lying about getting raped to justify their abortion.
  • When your rapist impregnates you against your will, it's a blessing.
  • Even though you were raped, the child of the vicious thug who violated you might be a nice person.
  • You weren't raped, you lying slut.

That's fvcked.

I'm trying to think how I would feel if I were the child. My first assumption is I would hate my father for having raped my mother and want nothing to do with him. But I'm wondering if a child's desire to know their father or have a relationship with their father could ever overcome that? Not a good situation anyway around.

yeah the above is pretty fucked up. though I don't know why you would want a rape baby to begin with.

It's also unfortunate when men are forced to pay child support when they are statutory raped by women.

SAN FRANCISCO — He was a 15-year-old kid with all the usual teenage sexual passions.
She was his neighbor--a 34-year-old mom, later convicted of statutory rape for engaging him in a romantic tryst that resulted in her getting pregnant.

But in a case that sets the term "deadbeat dad" on its ear, a California appeals court has ruled that the young man from San Luis Obispo, identified only as "Nathaniel J." in court records, is responsible for paying child support for the baby born of the illegal union.

Basically, the world is a fucked up place.

you know, i dont think so. I mean, "normal" parents can lose legal custody of children without needing to have raped the mom. I can't imagine a rapist being convicted and going to jail would be able to maintain parental rights.
