A member of one of Congress's most influential governing bodies of science and technology believes evolution, the Big Bang theory, and embryology are all 'lies straight from the pit of hell' designed to turn people away from Jesus.

Georgia Republican Paul Broun's beliefs were caught on tape in a 47 minute recorded testimonial to the a sportsman's banquet at the Liberty Baptist Church in Hartwell on Sept. 27.

'God's word is true,' Broun said in the video posted to the church's site. 'I've come to understand that.'

Can't party central or whoever runs these morons tell them to STFU?

organized religion will try to distory the world to be the main power broker.

STOP ORGANIZING people

believe what ever you want to believe but STOP giving the power hungry assholes a leash to drag you arround by.

But wait, there is more; all this can be had by just voting GOP,

A medical doctor, Broun is running unopposed for re-election this November.
Broun also said he believed the world was 9,000 years old according to biblical evidence - a slight divergence from the approximately 4.5 billion years of age concluded by most scientists - and that it was made in 6 days by God.

You see, there’s a lot of scientific data that I’ve found as a scientist that this really is a young earth,' Broun told the crow. 'I don’t believe that the earth is but about 9,000 years old. I believe it was made in six days as we know them. That’s what the Bible tells us.'

Capitalism, a historically failed idea.

Unlike Communism and Socialism which have created debt crisis in Europe like we've never before seen... Those were awesomely successful.

Anyway, like I said in the other thread talking about his dude, the statements are stupid.

So the crash wasn't 'created' by capitalism, is that what you're saying? :palm:

This thread is a great example of the disdain the GOP minions feel for the average American and knowledge in general. They want a theocracy and will do absolutely ANYTHING to make it so, ANYTHING at all. This guy is on the science committee, it's a disgrace!!!

Wow, that's like saying that people start companies to create jobs.

Um... No, it really isn't. Included in the stories about this guy is the fact that their counterparts in the GOP are saying the same thing we are saying here, this is stupid.

Companies exist to make money and they'll do whatever it takes including moving to china to do it. What is it about this you don't understand? Those in the very top don't have to 'create' anything to rake it in, they live off of the system itself because they've paid to have it rigged in their favor.

So you thing the very people that put folks like this retard on the science committee don't agree with him? Laughable at best.
