America's First JPP-Endorsed Candidate

A man who will have the majority (not all to be clear, but most) of the JPP males clamoring for the chance to vote for him! Sounds like the "talk" Tom had with his dad!

A Wisconsin state lawmaker endorsed by Paul Ryan has come under criticism for suggesting that “some girls rape easy.” While discussing a case in which “a 17-year-old high school senior was charged with sexual assault for having sex with an underage girl in the school’s band room,” State Rep. Roger Rivard (R) told the Chetek Alert newspaper in December that his father taught him that some girls will portray a sexual encounter as rape if they become pregnant. He is now claiming that those remarks were taken out of context and has issued a statement condemning sexual violence:

On Wednesday, Rivard told the Journal Sentinel the article did not provide full context of his comments and that his father’s exact words had been slightly different from how they appeared in the Chetek Alert.

He told the Journal Sentinel that his father had advised him not to have premarital sex, and he took that seriously.

“He also told me one thing, ‘If you do (have premarital sex), just remember, consensual sex can turn into rape in an awful hurry,’ ” Rivard said. “Because all of a sudden a young lady gets pregnant and the parents are madder than a wet hen and she’s not going to say, ‘Oh, yeah, I was part of the program.’ All that she has to say or the parents have to say is it was rape because she’s underage. And he just said, ‘Remember, Roger, if you go down that road, some girls,’ he said, ‘they rape so easy.’

“What the whole genesis of it was, it was advice to me, telling me, ‘If you’re going to go down that road, you may have consensual sex that night and then the next morning it may be rape.’ So the way he said it was, ‘Just remember, Roger, some girls, they rape so easy. It may be rape the next morning.’

“So it’s been kind of taken out of context.”

Ryan endorsed Rivard on August 9, just two days before he was selected to be Mitt Romney’s running mate. “Roger needs to be reaffirmed to get this job done and fix the State of Wisconsin,” Ryan said.

Oh.

My.

GAWD!

Back in the day, on the old AOL boards we had a conservative poster, typical know-it-all type, reminiscent of a couple posters here, who used to treat Liberals just like many of the "Conservatives" here do.

Anyway, one day while he's attempting to have a debate with someone, he boasts about a night he spent out drinking with a couple buddies. They were leaving a bar and walked past a couple women entering the establishment.

He must have been quite proud of what happened next, because he recounted to everyone on the AOL boards that, as the women walked past, he leaned over and commented to his friends "I bet that she would rape easy".

He later claimed he was "only joking", but right up until the day they shut down the AOL boards, nobody ever let him forget about his sickening comment.

Now though, it appears he's running for Wisconsin state Senate...interesting.

That was WetNoodle although he went under many names. Very odd chap, he was always going on about his Louis Ferragamos and how much he paid for them.

Wow... look, christie bumped a thread where the deranged lunatic who is 'taking a break' again accuses the men on this board of being rapists lovers etc...

Wow... thanks Christie. It has been a while since we have been reminded what the lunatic looks like.

Can you address the topic without getting personal and angry?

It's people like Rivard who give conservative men a bad name. His father was an oaf who passed on his ugly beliefs to Roger, who probably passed them on to his own sons. Hopefully Wisconsin women voters will step up and teach this wacko a lesson he'll never forget. PA women did it to Specter back in the 90s after the Anita Hill business and he almost lost his job to Lynn Yeakel.

Yikes, what a walk down memory lane! Wasn't that SJJSKK or whatever, and he tried to walk back that comment for years.

OMG! I thought of the same thing when I read the comment. I had never heard anyone talk that way before! I even contacted Partospeech about it, she wrote a book, included him in her book! I was just flabberghasted!

The only name I remember he used was SJJRSJJS or some such...but it wouldn't surprise me in the least to find out he was using multiple ID's.

Yes you are right, but on the WOT board he changed his name to WetNoodleFoolte to harass Prakosh. I am sure that Darla can give you chapter and verse on that.

Dear Christie, if the individual who posted the thread wanted to actually discuss this guy and not have it be personal, then she should have refrained from making it personal in the first sentence.

Bullshit... it is Rivard that makes himself look bad. Trying to pass off his comments onto conservatives in general is just the standard bullshit we get from left wing nuts.

The question is, which of the above is legion and which is Grind? I can see Grind enjoying wearing the pink dress.

Why would somebody go to the bother to get people to join the I hate Legion group only to then decide arbitrarily to resign? I can see why he likes Darla now, he is almost as eccentric and unpredictable as her.
