how did i run away. i actually discussed the article and quoted it. your lefty pal nigel did not.

are you always this stupid?

Update:

Prior to the 2002 gubernatorial election, MassGAP approached the campaigns of candidates Shannon O’Brien and Mitt Romney and asked them both to commit to: (1).”Make best efforts” to ensure that the number of women in appointed state positions is proportionate to the population of women in Massachusetts; (2). Select a transition team whose composition is proportionate to the women in the Commonwealth; and (3). Meet with MassGAP representatives regularly during the appointments process. Both campaigns made a commitment to this process.

Following the election, MassGAP formed committees for each cabinet post in the administration and began the process of recruiting, interviewing, and vetting women applicants. Those committees selected top applicants for each position and presented this information to the administration for follow-up interviews and consideration for appointment.

Also, too:

Thus, Romney's suggestion Wednesday night that he organically noticed a dearth of women applicants when filling his cabinet and subsequently decided to "go out and find women who had backgrounds that could be qualified to become members of our cabinet," is misleading. The process had been spearheaded by an independent group and was already well under way by the time he was governor.

lmao...the king of dissing sources uses TPM and CBS...typical hypocrisy on nigel's part.

my point stands. nothing shows romney did not ask his staff about the shortage of women. nothing shows he did not ask his staff to go out and talk to other groups besides the one that approached him. romney never said he was not approached. he did say, that when he got into office, he noticed the shortage. he never claimed it was because X reason.

for this group to claim credit for his decision is pure speculation. once again, the left is truly showing their desperate and dishonest colors.

Romney didn't tell the truth about how it happened. Credit to him for agreeing to their proposal, but it didn't happen the way he said it did. Not the biggest of deals, Yurt. No need to get bent out of shape about it.

No, it isn't the biggest of deals. It is, however, typical of Romney's generally misleading statements, utilizing vagueness and/or omission of details solely and deliberately to further whatever agenda or outcome he's pursuing. Dishonesty is part of his daily diet.

once again. you are claiming facts where you have no evidence of such facts. you have zero evidence to show romney didn't tell the truth. yet you are proclaiming you do. you are proclaiming your opinion, based on third party comments (which actually do nothing to diminish what romney said) as the truth. you are full of shit.

you're pathetic dung. you used to actually base your opinions, whatnot, on facts. now...it is just political rhetoric, who has a D is right and truthful, whoever has an R is wrong and a liar.

the only person getting bent out of shape is you. you refuse to counter my points and instead fall back on the typical liberal mantra of snarky comments and wait for your fellow lefties to slap you on the back. screw the facts. you don't care about the facts, all you care about is a country run by nothign but democrats.

The group that gave Romney the "binder full of women" directly contradicts his recounting. Pretending otherwise is kinda weird.

Again, not that big a deal. Romney is a very important guy and I'm sure that every good idea he ever implemented was a creation of his own beautiful mind. No need to get your knickers in a twist.

;

seriously nigel...did you read the article?

1. they admit there were binders. so that did not contradict romney.

2. they never said romney did not contact other groups, nor did they say he didn't have the idea himself once in office.

3. romney, never said he came up with the idea on his own. he merely said...he noticed the lack of women in office when he was elected. that is 100% true.

4. nothing in article contradicts anything romney says. the fact you cannot point to specifics and instead rely on lame on liners, says much about your position. i challenge to counter my points instead of wussing out with lame one liners and running away and then running back in with links that are just repeats.

So your theory is that there were women's groups other than the one that approached both gubernatorial candidates in August 2002 prior to the election for the purpose of ensuring that qualified female candidates were considered for cabinet posts and that Romney agreed to work with to help staffing his cabinet with qualified women who worked with his Lieutenant Governor candidate and who ultimately provided Romney with a binders of qualified female candidate for particular cabinet posts whom the group vetted, and that after winning the election and trying to staff his cabinet and discovering that there weren't very many female candidates Romney directed his staff to approach this other women's group to help him find qualified candidates -- all while the first women's group was working with his Lieutenant Governor for the same purpose -- and that these other mystery women's groups also provided binders of qualified female candidates?

That's what you have to believe for Romeny to have told the truth last night. And you're free to buy that theory if you wish. But it's really really stupid.

no, that is not my theory. you should spend more time carefully reading what i said. i'm not going to repeat my claims or my logic. it is time for you to step up and address my points instead of creating strawmen.
