I should have said the "video" wasn't' mentioned in the emails.....
My error...early claims said the Embassy mentioned the video was the driving force and that was the story Obama used for the next two weeks....
Knowing all the while that the emails specifically mentioned the terrorist Ansar al Sharia...which I've heard was the code name for Al Q....but can't with certainly.

You need to get off the emails, that's OLD NEWS! That was a few nights ago, before all this other information surfaced. Now we have eyewitnesses saying they called for help and were denied help three times, and we now know the White House was watching it all happen in real-time from drones. That trumps emails and facebook posts! This thing has snowballed on you big time, and it keeps getting bigger every day, and it keeps pointing straight to the top!
We first were told, and believed, this was just a spontaneous public uprising over a video, and nothing more! Then we found out the Ambassador had requested additional security MONTHS ago, and was denied. Then we were told that no one really had all the information, and it might have been a terror attack.... THEN we were told, there were emails and facebook postings confirming it was a terror attack within two hours. THEN we discovered that drones had been dispatched and the White House watched it all happen in real-time, KNOWING it was a terrorist attack all along! AND THEN we find out, the CIA agents in Benghazi requested support three times and were DENIED! And since THAT has come to light, Hillary's legal counsel is leaking that she requested more security, and CIA Director Patreus is covering his ass as well... that leaves your boy twisting in the wind on this!
But you want to run back and nit pick over the emails... they are IRRELEVANT now!
Yes, all indications are that the attacks had something to do with the video. That does not mean they were the result of the video or that no one would have ever wanted to do us harm ever ever ever again if not for that nasty video. Nothing in life is that simple.
It does appear that they seized upon an opportunity presented from the unrest/protest in Cairo, the region and maybe even in Benghazi that WAS mostly about the video. It is also quite likely that they used the video as a partial motivation for the attacks. Nothing you or any of your media sources have presented disproves that. Ansar al Sharia indicated as much in their denial of responsibility, making it seem as if some of their members may have participated and also claiming that the actions were justified in defense of their prophet.
It has been explained repeatedly that the idea that the video played a role is NOT mutually exclusive with the idea that it was a terrorist attack. Both can be true.
But you're looking for one simple answer and there are not any. Libya is a big fucking mess and Obama is not omnipotent or omniscient. There is no need for a conspiracy, cover up or to pretend Obama is just some evil bastard to explain any of this. It just suits you politically and so that is what your simple mind seizes upon.
Even if Obama had ordered the use of overwhelming force there is no doubt Stevens and Smith would still be dead and there may have been many more american casualties.

A planned and coordinated terrorist attack on the anniversary of 9/11, didn't have one goddamn thing to do with any YouTube video, and was probably planned well before anyone ever even knew about a video.
