Is the new Time poll believable?

The Time Magazine poll shows Governor Romney trailing by 5 points statewide in Ohio but winning Independent voters by a 53%-38% margin.

So how can Romney lead Independents by 15% and still be losing overall by 5%? How is that possible?

oddly reminiscent of an Indiana senator who was campaigning there while I was in law school......his famous statement was "I've already made up my mind on the issue, don't confuse me with the facts!"........
