Having lost their enormous investment in slaves, white planters had minimal capital to pay freedmen workers to bring in crops. As a result, a system of sharecropping was developed where landowners broke up large plantations and rented small lots to the freedmen and their families. The South was transformed from a prosperous minority of landed gentry slaveholders into a tenant farming agriculture system.

Thanks for agreeing with me.

Also thanks for conceding that Governor Kasich is right about Romney taking Ohio

I humbly accept your concession. Now stop begging me for attention. I agree with you and Governor Kasich that Romney will win Ohio

I wonder why Daddy Damocles isn't posting one of his famous platitudes...

This is a classic case of obvious reductio ad absurdam. People think it is easy to defeat an idea by simply avoiding the idea, exaggerating, and then arguing about something else.

It is, however, simple logical fallacy.

Can you explain how excerpting your lengthy apologist rant changes the fact that you claimed that there are only "a few rednecks" who "don't actually do anything", and these "few" "have friends who are black, co-workers who are black"?

I'm still waiting for examples of "black kid walk thru the wrong neighborhood in NY or NJ and the residents will beat him to death."

Or was that a stereotype?

Funny, you treat stereotypes like they are valid for your own posts, but then claim others should not use them.

Here are a few instances: http://www.rjhowe.net/fast_hate.html

And my post was not an apologist rant. It was a description of personal experiences of fighting racism in the real world instead of simply trolling on an internet forum. I apologized for nothing.

I lived in Alabama for four years, the poverty and lack of education is shocking. Dont get me wrong, there is a wealthy educated class, but they work hard to stay on top of the poor.

I have seen poverty and lack of education in many places. And virtually every where there is a wealthy class they work hard to stay on top.

None of that speaks to the racism issue being discussed.

Alabama has Republican government.

Why is the state economically retarded?

Can you explain how excerpting your lengthy apologist rant ...

I thought more about this and it pissed me off. If a reaction was what you were after, I can give you one. You call my post an apologist rant? I gave the details of one of the heros of the civil rights movement (a white guy from Alabama - and also a graduate from the school you attempted to demean). And I shared the details of my family's work standing up for what was right, even though we put ourselves in harms way. You ignore that and call it "apologist"?

How about I not apologize for saying Fuck you and anybody who even looks like you, you insignificant little troll.

I do? Link up.

Very few.

Anything newer than 1990?

And my post was not an apologist rant.

No?

It was a description of personal experiences of fighting racism in the real world instead of simply trolling on an internet forum.

So you fought racism in the real world, but even though your fellow Alabamian posted racist stereotype in this thread, you were silent...?

I apologized for nothing.

Who said you apologized?

Yep.

I gave the details of one of the heros of the civil rights movement (a white guy from Alabama - and also a graduate from the school you attempted to demean).

Did you protest when your fellow Alabamian demeaned Harvard University?

I'm thinking...no.

And I shared the details of my family's work standing up for what was right, even though we put ourselves in harms way. You ignore that and call it "apologist"?

Yep. How do I know you aren't lying about your "fighting" for "civil rights", especially since you posted an apologist rant?

How about I not apologize for saying Fuck you and anybody who even looks like you, you insignificant little troll.

How about it?

Anger management?

Yep.

That didn't last long. I thought you were angry.

I find your posts offensive, but I wanted to see how you see my posts as apologist. Nice post of the definition of the word.
