The Catholic Church comments on Paul Ryan's Catholic 'faith-based' beliefs

Is the Catholic church finally realizing that the Republicons don't believe in American society anymore? Geesh where have they been? We've seen profits over people from the radicals that have taken over the Republicon party for years.

you should document that claim....

Funny, you are determined to defend Paul Ryan, the author of the House Republican budget. Why? Ryan himself acknowledges that the criticism from the Bishops, nuns and Catholic United are aimed at him. He responded at a Georgetown speech (in the OP article).

The letter from the Bishops was not the only letter they sent out.

Federal Budget Choices Must Protect Poor,
Vulnerable People, Says U.S. Bishops’ Conference

April 17, 2012

Recent letters echo bishops’ consistent message that federal budget must form
‘circle of protection’ around ‘the least of these’

WASHINGTON—As Congress began working on the FY 2013 budget and spending bills this week, the U.S. Conference of Catholic Bishops (USCCB) wrote several letters that repeated and reinforced the bishops’ ongoing call to create a “circle of protection” around poor and vulnerable people and programs that meet their basic needs and protect their lives and dignity. The bishops’ message calls on Congress and the Administration to protect essential help for poor families and vulnerable children and to put the poor first in budget priorities. The bishops’ letters oppose measures that reduce resources for essential safety net programs.

In the letters, Bishops Stephen E. Blaire of Stockton, California, and Richard E. Pates of Des Moines, Iowa, chairmen of the Committees on Domestic Justice and Human Development and International Justice and Peace, respectively, urged Congress to resist proposed cuts in hunger and nutrition programs at home and abroad saying that “a just spending bill cannot rely on disproportionate cuts in essential services to poor and vulnerable persons.”

LOL

loony liberal

Deductive reasoning is beyond your cognitive level...understood. So, just answer ONE simple question...

1) The author of the House Republican budget is WHOM?

there is usually more than one author and more than one person voting on it. the letter did not refer to anyone in particular. your thread is a complete lie. the letter speaks to ALL of congress, not just ryan or republicans.

stop being a dishonest hack.

Well, we have determined that you are either obtuse, or dishonest...which one is it?

House Passes Paul Ryan Budget, Would Reform Medicare

By a mostly party-line vote, the House of Representatives approved Paul Ryan’s “Path to Prosperity” budget resolution today by a count of 228-191, slashing trillions of dollars in federal spending over the next decade, but inflaming Congressional Democrats for proposing controversial reforms to programs like Medicare.

The measure is doomed in the Senate where Democrats have the majority, but the Ryan budget still exposes vast differences between the two parties in a pivotal election year.

Zero Democrats supported the proposal while 10 Republicans voted against it.

“There is no balance in this proposal. Seniors, middle class, vulnerable, working Americans are asked to pay the price of this agreement,” House Democratic Whip Steny Hoyer, D-Md., said. “Not only are they asked to pay the price, but the best-off among us is asked to do the least.”

Democrats criticized the blueprint for abandoning the economic recovery, ending the Medicare guarantee, and cutting domestic spending. Ryan’s proposal lowers the discretionary spending cap from $1.047 trillion to $1.028 trillion for FY2013, which Democrats suggested breaks a deal Congress made last year to increase the debt limit.

“It is a path to greater prosperity if you’re already wealthy, but it leaves seniors, working Americans, and future generations behind,” Rep. Chris Van Hollen, the top Democrat on the Budget committee, said. “Unfortunately, our Republican colleagues stood in opposition to our fair and balanced approach.”

Democrats offered their own budget resolution alternative, but were only able to pick up 163 votes on it.

so you still cannot explain how they singled out ryan.

you're trying to pretend a letter says something it does not. the FACT is, they did not even mention ryan. so it is wholly dishonest to say their letter was commenting on ryan. you would be more honest if you said republican policies or policies like what ryan espouses. however, they specifically did not mention ryan.

you LIED

Thank you, the verdict is in...OBTUSE.

House Republicans Unveil New Budget Blueprint

House Budget Chairman Paul Ryan unveiled his latest budget blueprint today, proposing to cut spending and enact significant tax and entitlement reform, but drawing disdain and disapproval from the White House and Washington Democrats in the process.

Ryan held a morning news conference with reporters on Capitol Hill to explain his updated budget, a 99-page document titled “The Path to Prosperity: A Blueprint for American Renewal.”

FACT: they never said one word about his catholic beliefs

FACT: you lied

Why are you right wing turds running away from Ryan's social Darwinism? You domestic terrorists LOVE to punish people. Ryan's is your poster child. Embrace the little cock sucker.

no one is running away from anything. you made an incorrect claim and when corrected, dug your heels in, thus making it a lie after it was repeatedly shown to you that they never said one word about his beliefs.

your logic is beyond stupid. using your logic, the catholic church has commented on obama's christian beliefs because of obama's changed stance on gay marriage.

you are simply too desperate to paint the right in a negative light. you don't need to lie in order to make your point.

and calling me a domestic terrorist and suporter of ryan shows what a fucking stupid hack you. yeah...i'm a terrorist. fucking hilarious.

go home.

Do you live on this planet? I am serious.

Even PAUL RYAN knows that the letter from the Bishops and the criticism from the nuns was directed at HIS budget.

PAUL RYAN is the one who cites Catholic social teaching as an inspiration for his own economic thinking.

PAUL RYAN confronted the criticism from the Bishops, the nuns in a speech at Georgetown University.

And Ryan was confronted at Georgetown University with a letter from 60 theologians.

Georgetown Letter to Rep. Paul Ryan

SO...it seems the ONLY person who doesn't know is you...thus, the obtuse label fits

time to put this fucking idiot to bed.....nobody is going to fall for the liberal bullshit you're trying to pretend the Republican budget does......what you ought to be concerned about is the fact the Democrats haven't submitted a budget to examine for the last three fucking years......now go out and vote for your candidate along with the other 43% of Americans and let us get on with the new Romney administration.....

so you had to CHANGE the letter you quoted in your OP and subsequent posts to prove you didn't lie....lmao

There is no pretending what the Republican budget does. The Ryan budget would devastate the poor and middle class and Ronmey's tax plan is just trickle down on steroids. Ryan claimed in the debate that 6 studies support Romney's tax plan. There are no reports. They are BLOGS and op-eds. You just want to hold on to some ignorant belief that these people are human. they are not. Romney is a plutocrat and Ryan is an Ayn Rand social Darwinist.

I didn't change any letter. The op -ed letter and the letter from Georgetown University theologians are two different letters. Try to pay attention.
