Labor unions prevent nonunion power workers from helping in NJ.

Anyone care to not that the difference between Daral's and WB's story is that Darla's cites a primary source?

What's really funny is that SF posted that! The buffoon actually posted a link proving that non-union workers from out of state utility companies are working in Jersey with no problem!

He then proceeded to post about 10 rants accusing me of being an enraged liar! I am almost peeing my pants here!

ROTFLMAO!!! OH MY!! Give the lady a cigar! She rang the bell!!! LOL

Wish I could give you more than one props for this post! LOL

What I think is hillareous is the hypocrisy they have about labor unions. Apparently only special people like them have the right to negotiate what the market will bear for their goods and services. Apparently, according to SF and Tinhead, people don't have a fundamental human right to negotiate for the terms and conditions of their employment. According to them, I guess, your human rights end at your employers door.

Except for them of course.

What hypocrits.

Not so fast, I cannot let that canard about the 97% of scientists go unchallenged even though Darla can't even get that right and ups it to 98%!

The ‘expertise’ of the 97%

On occasion when challenged about the 97% figure depending on 75 scientists from a survey of 10,000, it is usually met with a response that these were the experts in the field of climate science and this is what matters not the number that took part. A closer look at the methodology perhaps raises some concerns about the ‘expertise’ and selection bias as this as his result depends on 2 additional questions in the survey that were used to identify expertise in climate research (not an unreasonable goal) within the respondents

why would they drive up from Al without a coordinated plan. It sounds like the union douchebags took it upon themselves to chase the scabs away. They did it on their own because they're greedy leeches. They want all the recovery funds so they scare away the crews their governemnt employers called upon to help the community. the greedy union slugs don't care about their employers, the community

LINK?

Since I posted the names of BOTH the companies I think I know that!

Wow, you guys are really stupid.

Let me cut to the chase one more time:

Okay so, you guys let me know when you have anything other than a story with no details, no names, no Union names, told by one worker.

We are back to square one here. What we do know is that there are non-union utilities from out of state working in New Jersey with no problem. Thanks to SF, who proved that.

Let's face it. The 'bama crews were not good enough to get in a union and can't be trusted with live wires, when there are union lives at risk. Makes perfect sense to me.

Any evidence they were not good enough to get into a union? Or perhaps, just perhaps, they chose not to work under a union? Much of the power infrastructure in this nation was built without the benefit of union labor.

the same text is in the original linked story, genius

Bullshit!

here is the text of the original story posted by WB:

"WAFF TV48 out of Huntsville, Alabama reports that union labor informed crews from Huntsville and Decatur, “were told by crews in New Jersey they can’t do any work there since they are not Union employees.

Power company crews from Decatur and Huntsville Utilities are “frustrated”. Some crews have been allowed to restore power in New York while other power crews have had to return home to Alabama. Hurricane Sandy has knocked out power to millions of residents in New England. It is unfathomable to think that Labor Unions would do anything to hinder aid to the people that desperately need it."

Huntsillve Utilities has debunked this claim and stated on record to CBS they have crews working in Jersey.

Decatur has made no claims either way.

One guy told a story!

What is wrong with you idiots? Can you not read??

SF debunked the original link and still doesn't know it!

Wow. This is amazing.

The irony is indeed rich. :)

You can't read can you?

This was what i posted:

Huntsville Utilities said they were not turned away and are up in storm ravaged areas working.

LMAO... you also posted this poor little rage monster...

So what do we know? One guy, ONE GUY, made a baseless claim with zero evidence and never named a union or a person - and now the Utility company has come out and called bullshit on this guy.

Let me guess, you didn't mean to imply that the Utility company that said they had no problems was the same one the guy worked for?

Again... your ignorance doesn't allow you to comprehend the fact that the two Utilities had different experiences?

You keep harping also on 'no named sources'... who was it at Huntsville that made the comment you keep quoting? They don't source it. Was it the janitor who happened to pick up the phone or was it someone who had actually gone up to New Jersey? Also... where was the Huntsville Utility crew working? It doesn't specify that they even went to Jersey, it just says they 'weren't turned away and are up in storm ravaged areas working'.

Funny how details don't matter to you on their quote.

I never said Decatur Utilities debunked it, I said you were trying to pretend that there were conflicting claims between two Utilities, and there are not.

Which is complete bullshit Darla. You thought they were the same and in your rage came on the board telling us all how the article debunked the guy. It did not. I never said Decatur made and official comment stating they were turned away. I noted there were two Utilities because you were confused in your rage and pretending that they were the same.

I also note again... you don't seem to have a name of who from Huntsville made the comment. My guess... that too was just one person. From a different company. Who might just have had a different experience than the crew from Decatur. But you can't comprehend that can you Darla?

Sorry Tom. This isn't a science denier discussion.

She mentioned it, not me. Why are you giving me a bollocking?

Oh boy here we go. These are the same people who will swear on a stack of bibles that 98% of scientists who do peer-reviewed research on climate change does not constitute evidence of anything and is a big hoax...but will swallow "someone said that someone went to jersey and heard that some union guy told some worker that..." like it was candy.

If I wasn't so busy laughing at these buffoons they'd probably annoy me.

In a world where politicians (UK) went to war in Iraq based on a ‘sexed’ up dodgy dossier plagiarised from a 12 year old PhD thesis. I wonder how confident they would be lecturing the public about the need for radical decarbonising economic climate polices, if they were aware that the ’97% of active climate scientists’ quote/soundbite actually comes from a students MSc thesis, that the Doran EoS paper cites?

It doesn't matter if it's the same one this guy worked for - the original story, which you apparently didn't read, made the claim that crews from both of them were turned away!

I have only posted this 7 times.

I have no idea what the rest of your nonsense is, you go on and on and on, but it doesn't matter - you will not deflect.

Your opening sentence is bullshit. Better read the original link again mister.
