"Unreal Crowds" Reported at Mitt Rallies in PA!

Still... 30,000 people waiting in the cold to see Romney, and another 10k who can't get in....

It was a great event . . . All the more impressive with it happening with only two days notice! There were many that stayed outside the perimeter along Stony Hill Road but I don't think it was 10,000. I heard that 34,000 tickets were issued and over 30,000 were scanned upon entry.

I was amazed at the number of energized young people in the crowd (in their 20's); truly heartening.

And now there are reports that security wouldn't let the freezing women/children out. Romney was late, and some wanted to leave.

They wouldn't let them leave til all the photo ops were done. Looks like everyone showed up to see what a loser looks like.

I think you better reload Jackie Kucinich's twitter (yeah, Dennis Kucinich's daughter). . . She has walked back her incendiary statements and has corrected people who have repeated her original histrionics. That particular convo is especially funny as the hair-on-fire lefties are accusing her of being bought out by Romney for changing her story. Christ on a Rainbow Pony it's funny when they cannibalize their own!

From reading her latest (posted 1:55AM EST November 5. 2012) article in USAToday you would have no idea that she started such a crapstorm:

"The event began more than an hour late after a travel delay in Cleveland, causing those at the rally to have to wait several hours to see Romney after the sun had gone down. This led to a commotion near the press area when a small group of people tried to leave the rally though a secure perimeter established by the Secret Service. Some of the attendees complained that they were cold and felt trapped; with the aid of Romney advance staff and the Secret Service, they were redirected to usable exits."

USAToday

Here's what happened (from someone who was there)

The issue was one of the geography of the venue. Behind the press boxes and grandstands were the farm's outbuildings, paddocks, barns etc . . . These people were trying to "exit" by barging through the temporary fence into that area that was not an exit.

The people in the grandstands were the earliest arrivals and they were there since 2 o'clock . . . By 6:35 when Romney's bus finally pulled in it was a bit nippy and a decent breeze was blowing (strong enough to keep the huge flags waving, see the pics above.

People were not dressed for the evening weather and I saw plenty of kids (too many under 10 y.o. IMNSHO) and adults complaining about being cold.

With the crowd being so large (we were 150 yards from the stage and there were 100yards of packed people behind us) and with traffic being as atrocious as it was getting in, we (me, my 24yo son and his 22yo girlfriend) left midway through Mitts stump.

We had zero problem leaving AS WE EXITED THROUGH THE EXIT!

Photo looking back from the road. The crowd reaches all the way to the edge of the picture on the left side:

BTW, when I started the truck at 7:25, the temp read 42 degrees. We were getting onto I-95 as the fireworks were going off.

"Unreal Crowds" Reported at Mitt Rallies in PA!

That is likely the best word to use to describe them.

I have to laugh because I had literally the same thought. There was a rally last week that Mitt claimed was attended by 30k, it came out later the crowd was half that. It's likely late in the game to find out the truth here, but it doesn't matter even if they were honest about their numbers for once (though what are the chances? all they do is lie).

The person who said on this thread (I forget who it was) that this is a Hail Mary because they now know Ohio's gone, is right. Keep in mind McCain did go here the Sunday before the election and so did Bush! It was funny because I read that over the weekend in the Times and I laughed because several here claimed that though Republicans had gone to PA before, none had the Sunday before the election. It's funny how the facts always end up being the opposite of what any Republican tells you.

PA has tightened, but they won't win it, it is a Hail Mary because with Ohio out of reach they need to flip a blue state and PA is the most likely. They aren't going to flip NJ, let's face it. But just because one thing is more likely to happen than another thing, doesn't make it actually likely. It's not happening. PA will go Blue and Obama will get four more years and this even despite the miserable un-American massive voter suppression efforts of Governor Skull in FLorida and the other scumbag in Ohio. Republicans call themselves Americans, meanwhile they don't know what it means. Pathetic.

But they are about to get what's coming to them.

So, when's the impeachment? Republicans are also a clear and present danger to our Democratic Republic because they quite simply do not accept election results. They will impeach for nothing, again. These are authoritarian fascists we are dealing with and they do not do democracy.

what else is there to do in PA

I love PA. I love the Deleware water gap part of PA more than anything. We owned a second home there when I was a kid, and actually, well into my 20's and what times we had. It's beautiful, there is tons to do, and we spent summers at dude ranches and at the gap kayaking, canoeing and rafting, and winters at Camelback and Shawnee skiing.

And then there is Philadelphia. No one who has spent time in Philly could ask what is there do to in PA!

Well, see you guys Wednesday morning! There is little point spending two days here listening to blowhards when we will all know everything then. Well, hopefully anyway. And some of us have work to do. Have fun.

. Obama threatened to bankrupt the coal industry, a life blood for many in PA. In 2004, Kerry beat Bush in PA by only 150000 votes. Take in everything I just wrote above, and you can't ignore the facts, PA is going to be closer than you think, or care to admit
You ignore the fact that many in Pa have buyer's remorse for ever letting the nat. gas industry in. Coal is no different. I'd say the few who are employed by filthy energy, are far outweighed by those who are negatively affected by same.

If PA is a lock, why are the Dems spending 3 million dollars there for tv ads? Why will Bill Clinton do 3 events there tomorrow?

I hope that the Dems running Obamas campaign underestimate PA as the liberals here are doing.
Because Romney is spending tens of millions of dollars in Pa, trying to convince people that Jeep is moving to China.

Fiat is in “very detailed conversations” with its Chinese partner, Guangzhou Automobile Group Co. (2238), about making Jeeps in the world’s largest auto market, said Mike Manley, chief operating officer of Fiat and Chrysler in Asia. Chrysler hasn’t built Jeeps there since before Fiat took control in 2009.

“The volume opportunity for us is very significant,” Manley, who is also president of the Jeep brand, said in an interview at Chrysler’s Auburn Hills, Michigan, headquarters. “We’re reviewing the opportunities within existing capacity” as well as “should we be localizing the entire Jeep portfolio or some of the Jeep portfolio.”
Chrysler, which entered an alliance with Turin, Italy-based Fiat as part of its U.S. government-backed bankruptcy, is relying on growth in China to counter weakness in Europe’s auto market. The automaker is targeting 500,000 annual sales outside North America by 2014, more than triple its overseas deliveries in 2009.

Well, allow me to give you some truth since I work for Chrysler- jeep wants to sell product to China....seems like a good idea, right? But rather than build the product here that they want to sell to China, they plan to build a plant in China, and that my friend DOES cost Americans jobs! That does make Romney's claim at least partially right. This brings up another issue, all of the cars we import here, do not face any tariffs, so they send unlimited amounts to us,yet when we export, we face tariffs, which is bullshit and we need to fix it

OMFG

I guess I'm going to have to round up all of my posts elsewhere debunking this pile of stinky shit.

Love it, these same liberals were raving about Obama's crowd numbers in 2008. My how times change. The point is that PA is supposed to be a lock for Obama. It's not, it's a toss up, it's a state that is dependent on coal to make a living in many areas.....coal, remember Obama proudly exclaiming that he would bankrupt coal facilities.

Yeah, don't worry about defending PA, and I hope that Obama forgets about defending PA too

Crowd size must have mattered, he was elected! If Romney wins, I will be the first to tell you, SIZE MATTERS

Carter had amazingly huge crowds just before his defeat.

So did Mondale and McGovern.

LOL... It's going to be rather difficult to debunk direct quotes from the CEO of Fiat, but no doubt, you will try!

You really, really aren't worth the effort Dixie.

Really.

Just go on with your dumb self. btw - love your video!

what? you don't believe votes matter? you think crowds are more important?

btw...nice derision and petty attack. hypocrite much?

Is that what I said?

Why do you even need me to respond Yurt?

Why not just take another take post of mine, change what I wrote, make up some standard sick YurTard bullshit and pretend it's a quote from me like you did this weekend?

What matters most is the integrity of the candidates...and frankly Romney's integrity is MIA at this point.
