The intrade odds for President Obama's reelection have been jumping all day.

If any of you cons who are so sure of Romney's win tonight get a chance you should put a lot on it.

I remember well how during the second two debates you cons were sure Obama was winning and telling me how intrade was not able to predict anything.

Well they have never been wrong in a presidental election. They were not wrong in any of the three debates also.

If I had an account I would, the upside potential is worth the downside risk. But apparently you cannot open the account on line and make a trade in the same day.

How far back does Intrades presidential prediction go? Also, Intrade predicted the ACA would be overturned. Just saying

Tell us Jarod... how many Presidential elections have they predicted?

oh yeah... the only ones they were taking 'bets' on were 2004, where it was fairly obvious Bush would win and 2008 where it was blatantly obvious Obama would win.

I belive they were around in 2000, but I am not sure.

THey did get the ACA wrong, but a supreme court decision is very different as there are no real indicators.

LOL. Read the discussions on Intrade and decide for yourself how knowledgeable these people are. They consist primary of hacks and useful idiots...on both sides of the aisle.

Its the free market talking ... I thought conservatives loved the market.

In the 2004 presidential election, the market favorite won the electoral vote in every state. This occurred when, even as late as election day, many pollsters and analysts were predicting a John Kerry victory. In Florida, a number of polls put Kerry ahead in that state, or said the race was too close to call. The betting markets, however, correctly and consistently showed Bush would win Florida comfortably.

Are you taking the other side of the bet? Apparently you think you can clean up. Intrade wins no matter what. They are nothing more than a bookie. I have no problem with what they are doing as they appear to not be breaking any laws. But as to saying how predictive they are is pretty sketchy.
