I guess it depends on how you look at the other side. If 50% of Americans are evil, as you seem to believe, then I understand why you feel the way you do. I refuse to believe that about my opponents. With a few exceptions, most people on both sides are reasonable people that want what is best for the country. We simply disagree on how to get there.

It is been what we have been saying all along, that the Congress needs to work together. I heard it more from the left than the right for a long time now!
the problem is that in america whenever one side says to the other "We need to work together" what they really mean is "the other side needs to start agreeing with everything I say"

I thought Romneys was better. It is much harder to be magnanimous in defeat. Obama's was good BUT it had, quite obviously, been fashioned round other notable speeches - he even sounded like MLK at one point.
I would give Obama 10 out of ten but I would give Romney a tiny bit more for 'difficulty'.

Yes, go get the post Desh. Because I have been bitching about the repeal of Glass Steagall for a decade. Done by Clinton. You then scream that Bush didn't implement certain parts of it for 'EIGHT YEARS' while ignoring the fact that for the last 1.5 years of Clintons tenure, NEITHER DID HE.
