Ok, anyone who has been here say three years and who has a clean police record would get green cards to work, but only after all the illegal alian Latinos came forward and declared themselves as illegales. They would all be fingerprinted and retina scanned and placed in a binder(LOL) If they wanted to become citizens, they could apply and get in line like My Mom did for instance, it took her 13 years to get hers. During the 13 years, the green card alien has to not commit any crimes, otherwise they lose their place in line and start over, we would need 13 years of crime free green card living in the USA to qualify for citizenship. If the crime is serious, they lose everything and are deported and cannot come back in. Everyone would be fingerprinted and retina scanned and any attemps to vote would negate any prospects of future citizenship along with a jail term and deportation. Any emplorer caught hiring illegals would be guilty of a serious felony with automatic jail time, now that would curtail illegals working here. If the green carder did go into the Military, that would speed up the citizenship process. If anyone was caught crossing the border back into the USA, they would be fingerprinted and retina scanned and then it's impossible to get a green card or citizenship in the future because they were bad. All employers would be required to use a retina scanner and a fingerprint scanner connected to La Migra and that would be that, no more illegals working here. Now that is how to play what I call Alamo hardball.

This would only apply to illegal alien Latinos?

What about the illegal alien Irish, English, welsh, Scottish, French, German , Russian, Chinese, Vietnamese etc?
No chance for them?

I see that a few Lib Demos are beeching about what happens to the children of illegals born here, nothing they are legal but their parents are still not legal and they will have to get green cards so we can put their names in binders. They would have to apply just like everyone else to get Citizenship. All you scheming Lib Demos care about is getting their votes, but with my proposal, if they vote illegally, and get caught, they can never become citizens and will get jail time. I would send them to see Sheriff Joe Arpaeo, he would have them in the fields picking watermelons, frutas.

how do you plan on paying for this?

and what makes you think that 'illegals' will trust the government enough to show up?

According to this article http://www.reuters.com/article/2012/06/26/us-usa-economy-businesses-idUSBRE85P0X720120626, there were about 7.4 million businesses in 2010, and that was a down year. So lets use that as a baseline.

What does a retinal scanner cost? Lets just guess that a retinal scanner, along with the necessary software & connections, will run $500. So your law to require every business to do a retina scan will cost approx. $3,700,000,000.00.

And that is only for the purchase of the scanners. You will need some sort of admin to oversee this project. How about one inspector for every 250 businesses? That should keep him pretty busy. That means hiring 14.8 million inspectors. And of course you will need an administration to make sure all those inspectors get paid, have insurance ect ect.

Oh, and this entire "Conservatives want less gov't interference" nonsense will have to be abandoned. You are requiring retinal scans on every working person in the US, and requiring every business in the US to participate and be part of a network of scanners. Can't get much more intrusive than that.

Oh, and the administration of this grand plan of yours will be funded by tax dollars, I'm sure. So taxes will have to be raised to pay for it. Businesses will have to pay for the scanners and the personnel to deal with the scanning and recordkeeping somehow, so they will raise prices to the consumers.

So in one move you will put some small businesses under, cost the tax payers billions of dollars, cause an increase in prices from every business based in the US, increase gov't interference and control of every business and every working person, and create a new gov't bureacracy that will be bloated beyond recognition in no time.

And this will track or locate every illegal immigrant who is working or wants to work. It does nothing to remove the dope dealers and other career criminals.

Yeah, great plan. A marvel of modern conservatism.

Hi Don, how is Solvang and Reagan Country doing? Did you ever try that Apple Cider Vinegar for the stones that we talked about way back, it was recommended by a famous California State Davis Vet and was proven to dissolve stones in horses? Well, apple cider vinegar works on people also, there is a Bragg Vinegar Health Drink sold in many stores for people called Braggs Organic Raw Unfiltered Apple Cider Vinegar. You would drink the vinegar using one tablespoon in 8 oz. of purified water adding honey, maple syrup or molasses to help the taste. Also, for our sore joints, many of us horse people use the Absorbine Horse Liniment, it works great on arthritis.

As far a paying for it, I don't know, I just threw it out there to create some action on here, my usual MO, although something will have to change or California(Califa) will be an extension of Baja California. I used to live in Chula Vista and El Cajon, so I am familiar with the Border infiltration issue, although San Diego's borders have improved. Way back,

Years ago, the Irvine Ranch put out a request in the Orange County Register for (basically non Hispanic)workers to come and work their fields during a Cesar Chavez strike and about 300 answered the ad. 3 days later, only a married couple from a Kibbutz in Israel were still there to do that hard menial labor, my point being that it seems like only the Agrarian Society Mexicans can consistently handle difficult farm labor. I wanted to go to Cesar Chavez's funeral in Delano California but never made it, there were like 40,000 there, you remember it? I liked him, a real labor activist who never gave in to the money, no one could buy him.

I seem to remember that you had a theory about the salmonella outbreak a while back. Didn't you insist that it was the Mexicans pissing on the lettuce that caused it?

You really got involved in this one, the retinal scanner idea is a great way to identify everyone. They already have our fingerprints and they already know who we are, but fake ID's like Driver licenses can be bought in Los Angeles even though I just got mine renewed and they changed it again. I doubt if a retinal scanner can be counterfeited, but they seem to be able to beat any system so far. If you are retinal scanned at birth and fingerprinted, that has to be foolproof. From that point on, no one can assume your identity and I personally know of someone who had their identity stolen(Social Security Number). If someone had mental issues, then that doctor would put an asterisque on his retinal scanner Id record and if that person decided to purchase a firearm, a red flag would pop up. Now that person would have to be interview by a cop/psyche, in order to purchase that firearm. That nut job in Tucson AZ who shot Gabby Gifford would probably have had someone(Teacher) complain about him without him knowing about it and that red flag would have popped up and I doubt if a psyche cop would have OKed his gun purchase, and if he sounded real nutty to the cop, that cop would issue a stop action on any gun purchases for him until he was cleared by a mental doctor.

You really like the idea of Big Brother taking care of you, don't you?

You are actually advocating that a complaint by someone who is not a medical professional be used to remove your constitutional rights, and you not even be notified???

You really are into big gov't aren't you? If the republicans follow your advice they will be extinct before 2016.

Ok, here is a question I would like you to answer.

What is someone refuses to have their retina scanned? What would you have Big Brother do to them?

howdy

we have moved from our big place in santa ynez to a smaller place in lompoc (we were getting too old to keep the place up)

we used the money from the sale to buy or house in lompoc and two houses in south eastern washington (as rentals)

i no longer need the vinegar or liniment you recommended, i got a gastric bypass and have shed over 150 pounds with another 100 pounds to go

i no longer need most of my medications and within a year i will not need almost all of them

i know what you mean by how hardworking immigrants are...i was running electricity from my house in the city of san fernando to my garage and i had to dig a ditch between the house and garage

at the same time i had hired two men to paint my house, one of them saw me struggling with my pickax and took it from me and in a short time had dug the ditch for me, he worked quite hard and fast

we enjoy living in lompoc - we live in an old neighborhood where people know each other and watch out for each other

the population is an interesting mix of people that work at vandenburg air force base and latinos, also the weather is better

as for the illegals that cross the border, most come in through az, nm and tx now, although many still make their way in to the food growing areas of ca...mostly farms and ranches

solvang does not change very much nor do the ranches and farms

although the residents are somewhat conservative, they are getting more liberal...especially the workers not the big property owners

we have people here that commute to la and santa barbara from here, in fact quite a few that commute from the santa ynez area to la

there is some new housing, but there is a 5 acre restriction on how small new properties can be

as for the op, winterborn described the costs involved rather thoroughly

while finger print scanners have gotten lower in price, the retinal scanners are still rather expensive - also there may be constitutional issues, especially if the feds get involved, there is a lot of resistance to a national id database among liberals and conservatives

and yes, i remember cesar chavez, i was born and raised in the pacific palisades (a suburb of la located on the coast between santa monica and malibu)

i did not make it to his funeral either, my family had moved to santa barbara before he died, he did good work organizing the farm laborers - unfortunately he is still needed

also, there are an estimated 13 million illegals in the u s of a

right now people caught crossing the border illegally are being fingerprinted and if caught again (either by la migra or local law enforcement) they are jailed and eventually deported, also if they are caught committing a crime or even arrested, their fingerprints are put in a national database - some law enforcement are collecting dna from people arrested even if they are later released as innocent (there is a case before scotus challenging the legality of that right now)

i hope all is well with you and yours, dq

I seem to remember that you had a theory about the salmonella outbreak a while back. Didn't you insist that it was the Mexicans pissing on the lettuce that caused it?
That is true, and if you know anything about farm laborers, they sometimes work in the fields a quarter mile from an outhouse, and they usually get payed piece work, comprende? I believe my point was that if they gotta go, they gotta go and they pee right out in the fields and they cannot wash their hands, but they just keep on picking your lettuce. mas lechuga, mas dinero. Where else do you think the Salmonalla comes from? I wash my lettuce leaves in a collander, but do you really believe that restaurants do?
