Secession petitions now filed for all 50 states

The president and every person in congress took an oath to uphold and protect the constitution, and to allow a state to secede without passing an amendment first would be a violation of that sacred oath.

and yet, people still use him as a foundation of freedom and liberty.

I don't really like Jefferson myself. Hamilton, Adams, and Washington were just as central as founding fathers. Jefferson really gets too much credit, all he did was throw his name on the declaration of independence, he did virtually nothing else in regards to fighting the revolution (Washington) or passing the constitution (Hamilton and Madison). He basically just reemerged and fought for the presidency later on. His impact on the founding of the nation was really rather minimal, his impact in distorting the vision of those who fought for our liberty and passed the greatest constitution man has ever seen, maximal.

no

and a completely simplistic view of the issue

A completely accurate view of the issue. Any president who allows secession is a traitor, as secession is unconstitutional. That's just how it is. If you wish for it to be another way, pass an amendment. You don't just get to ignore the constitution just because some freedom hating conservatives want to secede in order to oppress the minorities in their state.

did the federal government create the states, or did the states/people create the federal government?

I wish they had backed a petition for a Balanced Budget Amendment rather than this stupid crack induced dreamsicle. Even the "kick them out if they signed it" garbage is stupid joke nonsense.

There's some serious stuff out there to talk about, this isn't one of them.

how many bodies is worth the cost of such?

That's a question you should be asking yourself as it is inevitable. You won't have a fight against just the US government. It will be against a One World Government. There won't be any sympathizers helping you out except the rag-tag gang already assembled. Good luck.

millions is rat-tag?

your exactly the type of voter the republican party will have to heave to the curb to win elections in the future

There have been several references to Alexander Hamilton in this thread. You know that Hamilton was never a President don't you? Do any of you understand the particulars behind that? GREAT READING!!!!!!!!!!!!

The geo/political boundries of the world are becoming more and more blured, if you cannot see that you are blind. Some powers that are and were tradionally Federal in nature are migrating to a larger authority (nafta, gafta, nato, eu, cafta) while some powers are returning to local control. What was once a Sovrin nation no longer really exists in our world, maybe in North Korea or in some other third world palces, but not in the first world.

Power sharing is more and more the norm, if nations reconise it or not.

THere are lots of things we cannot get away with doing because they would upset the ballance in Europe, and vice versa. World government, at some levels, is already here and its simply a natural result of faster communication, travel and connection amungst the people of the world. Its a good thing, embrace it.

and how will your new world order look after racking up a body count that beats hitler?

That won't happen. The problem is the people have been lied to, to the point where they believe the right solution is the wrong one. Just like with ObamaCare. You'll see in '16 the medical care talking points will be quite different. It will be humorous to watch the Repubs twist and squirm when confronted with their objections in '12.

The same with One World Government. It's like this. Either the people in the West can work and send aid to impoverished countries or the people in the West can work less and have the people in impoverished countries do jobs. What makes more sense? Some sort of economic balance has to be arrived at.

I beg to differ. I can guarantee that at least 1% of the US population would violently revolt, which is at least 3 million people. It would most likely be higher than that.

it will be interesting watching the excuses both parties make for the dramatic drop in the quality of healthcare in 16.

again, you will have seriously violent revolts when someone NOT an American/elected representative make decisions for them that seriously affect their lifestyle. guaranteed.
