I am sorry but I don't agree, as I said before BP paid up without having to be taken to court, name one US company that has done the same? Have Exxon, Chevron-Toxico, Dow, Union Carbide, Occidental, Monsanto and many more ever done so? US companies have an unenviable record of polluting and then evading punishment, you know that as well as I do. Anyway if they were so cavalier as has been stated so often why did the MMA give that rig a safety award? It isn't just about BP, there seems to be a concerted attack on British banks and companies generally at the moment. This is especially galling when so little has happened to crooks like Goldman Sachs and J.P. Morgan. The effects of the banking crisis are vastly more than even occurred in the Gulf and I don't see anybody crying over that in the US, people over here see the US as total hypocrites who are totally incapable of seeing the world from other's point of view.
