Wise Old Man

Bob Costas is a child and always has been.
It's almost criminal how stupid that sentence from Costas is...
It's like he doesn't realize that the man could strangle her, then take pills. Or break her neck then drive off a cliff...
This tragedy wasn't caused by him owning a gun, nor would it have stopped him from his "plan"... If the absence of guns would stop domestic violence then those moms who drowned their kids never killed anybody...
What an a$$!
this is why they were created. what's the problem here?Guns make killing people very easy.
it's a bullshit statement. tens of thousands a year are killed by many other means as well, apparently with little remorse, so it's not that damned difficult.Without guns, killing a person is much more difficult. This is not a controversial statement.

So of course the answer to this CRIME is to remove the means of self defense from the people who obey the laws and play by the rules. Typical leftist dumb ass thinking.
If anybody didn't know that Costas was liberal by viewing his commentaries and his approach to sports they haven't been very observant. What he said doesn't surprise me one bit. But neither does the response he received via social media and such as a result of those remarks. I mean...it was a Cowboys game for goodness sake. Did he actually think that his drivel would resonate with the majority of the viewing audience that evening? My wife said as she watched him, "Oh, that's gonna go over like a lead balloon."

Guns also even the playing field. A 100 pound person vs. a 200 pound person of similar defensive skill levels... who wins? A man the size of Belcher is going to have a hard time against his girlfriend? Yes, a gun is potentially quicker. But to say it is much more difficult is an exaggeration. A stab of a knife or a punch to the throat and she is equally dead. The fact that it might take a bit longer is just your attempt to justify blaming an inanimate object for what happened.

Domestic Abuse felon, been in prison five years for beating in his wife's face for the fourth time. Do you really want that guy going out to buy a shotgun?
How bout the armed robbery convict? Should he be going around with a glock when the last time he got his hands on a gun he used it to rob the place?
Or the two gentlemen from the Hell's Angels who did multiple years in prison because they beat the crap out of somebody for trying to leave(current case in Weld County CO), should they have the chance to go buy something to finish the job?

Look at the stats, SF. Murders by knife account for 13% of all murders. Murders without "personal weapons" (fists, hands, feet) account for 5% of all murders. Murders by firearm account for 67%. That should tell you something.
By contrast, firearms account for only 20% of aggravated assaults. Knives account for 18%. Clubs and blunt objects, 34%. "Personal weapons," 27%.
I am curious, is there actually a "liberal" and "conservative" approach to sports?
