That is how much less working gives than welfare. Astonishing isn't it?

http://www.weeklystandard.com/blogs...s-168-day-every-household-poverty_665160.html

Now how long can a society last when you can make more money NOT working than working? It is all going to come crashing down and when I am sitting in my mountain retreat I am going to laugh my ass off while all the libtardiots get what they deserve when their leftwing made animals turn on them

You know that thing where a partisan outfit (the Weekly Standard) links to a partisan piece (a report from the Senate Republicans) drawing from data from a public report (a CRS research study) but none of it is linked.

Yeah, that's a red flag.

Prove they are wrong or accept your dismal defeat. Dismissing the source is not a substitute for debate shit bag

Well, see, that's the thing. I can't prove that they are wrong because they haven't given me the information that would be contained in the missing links from which we could determine the accuracy of the piece. That's why it's a red flag as opposed to demonstrable bullshit.

I am sure you can go look up what the welfare queens make. Hurry and prove it wrong. Otherwise your opinion is about as worthwhile as the big shit I took this morning. Oh look at that, and you call yourself dungheap. How ironic. Could it be that you are full of shit?

What's astonishing is that those bogus numbers, which include every single government expenditure there is including everything from school lunches to elderly care to guaranteed VA home loans but DOES NOT INCLUDE the biggest government expenditure of all - DEFENSE SPENDING.

Which is nearly $1 TRILLION DOLLARS A YEAR.

About 22% of the total spending.

If you ignore their rent, subsidized food, subsidized phone, subsidized electricity, subsidized daycare, you may even be right. This is an average from all over the nation, my guess is those in NYC get a bit more considering rent is a bit higher there...

All I can say is, even if you get 63K worth of crap you will still want off welfare, it sucks.

None of us will be laughing when that happens. Rational people know though, that the unsustainable will not be sustained.

This is along the same lines and just as scary. Lots of links, analysis and more charts at site:

When Work Is Punished: The Tragedy Of America's Welfare State
by Tyler Durden on 11/27/2012

Exactly two years ago, some of the more politically biased progressive media outlets (who are quite adept at creating and taking down their own strawmen arguments, if not quite as adept at using an abacus, let alone a calculator) took offense at our article "In Entitlement America, The Head Of A Household Of Four Making Minimum Wage Has More Disposable Income Than A Family Making $60,000 A Year." In it we merely explained what has become the painful reality in America: for increasingly more it is now more lucrative - in the form of actual disposable income - to sit, do nothing, and collect various welfare entitlements, than to work. This is graphically, and very painfully confirmed, in the below chart from Gary Alexander, Secretary of Public Welfare, Commonwealth of Pennsylvania (a state best known for its broke capital Harrisburg). As quantitied, and explained by Alexander, "the single mom is better off earnings gross income of $29,000 with $57,327 in net income & benefits than to earn gross income of $69,000 with net income and benefits of $57,045."

But perhaps the scariest chart in the entire presentation is the following summarizing the unsustainable welfare burden on current taxpayers:

* For every 1.65 employed persons in the private sector, 1 person receives welfare assistance
* For every 1.25 employed persons in the private sector, 1 person receives welfare assistance or works for the government.
