Ever worked for cash?

Cuz I know I got paid. It sucks to have a check bounce or pay a commission on a Credit Card payment

Oh yeah! Still do on occassion, and no, I do not report it. That's why I do it.

(I should have also said that I don't really make enough at it TO report it. At least I think so!)

I often pay temps cash. I deduct what they would have paid in taxes from the going rate, since I then have to pay their taxes (having no way to prove I paid them). Either way, only one of us has to pay the taxes. If they work more than a day or two, I stop paying cash.

No, I don't reduce my rates for cash payments. I might reduce the cost of a sale a bit, but not more than 5%. But if I'm actually working I charge the same, even if you're paying in guns/gold (both have been accepted as payment before).

This is how it should be handled.

Odd that the "patriotic" conservatives spend so much time cheating us, the people of America, isn't it?

The times I worked for cash I made more than the typical wage for that work. I knew they weren't paying taxes on me or including me in the workman's comp, so I was still cheaper than a payroll employee.

So you were complicitly committing tax fraud?
