Maybe I haven't been paying close enough attention but what spending cuts have actually been proposed or negotiated in legislation? We are going to end up with legislation and raises taxes but cuts no spending. I'm surprised Democrats aren't celebrating more because Obama is kicking Boehner's ass.

It's saving on interest that the US would have to pay if it didn't cut spending and raise revenues. Basically, there's no debt so there's no interest payments.

Promised cuts in year 10 of a "plan" passed today are not cuts and have no bearing on reality any more than any story that begins with "once upon a time".
