Uscitizen too!

Donnie just went off his rocker. Not that he was ever on there very well.
It was kind of embaressing to watch it happen.

No offense, USC, but you're just too normal. Doniston was just awesome! Completely insane, but awesome.

That said, it's nice to have you back. :clink:

Me normal?
Heck I do not even like to watch sports.
I am a fiscal conservative social liberal.
Atheist.
I like guns but not to shoot people with.
And I think 1/3 exists.
I think both sides and their corporate leaders have been working for over 30 years to put our economy where it is.

And I knew Santa before his hair was white.

Yeah, I think you speak for a lot of people there, Cit. The not liking sports is kind of gay, and while being an atheist might not be clean-cut all-American, liking Mt. Dew most certainly is.

I met a young American teacher last night. Chat went something like this:

A: Do you follow the NBA?
Me: NBA? Oh, you mean netball?
A: basketball.
Me: netball.
Onlooker: Netball...and they play rounders.
A, realising he is on a losing wicket: Do you play football?
Me: not any more and in the day it would have been rugger.
A, (Changing the subject): American comic books are the best though.
Me, (puzzled): Er... yeah ...
A: We invented Spiderman.
Me: ...er..yeah...ok
A: he couldn't exist. You wanna know why he couldn't exist?
Me: You're gonna tell me aren't you?
A: He is supposed to live in LA and in LA there are no tall buildings therefore Spiderman cant be real.
Me: ...... ...... .......
Me, (turning to onlooker): This is Axxxx. He's a teacher from America. I'll leave you to get to know each other. Bye.

Then I look at some people here and suddenly I realise that he was just a normal yank!

I always liked to play sports. Threw a damn fine fastball.
Just do not get into the group thing of following the crowd on sports.

Investing in your future is wise for evreryone even governments.

You have to go into debt to do some things

Not if we had been wiser and built up a surplus rainy day fund.

also on my social liberal I am not consistent on that.
I do believe in tough prision terms and the death penalty for some of the worst.

I do believe in helping the needy but making the lazy work.

I believe our political system is broken and bought by corporate interests. Including religious corporate interests. But I am not sure who is playing who for the fool there.

I believe in protecting our environment for the future generations (that is truely conservative).

In summary: It's not easy being me.
I follow my own nose.

ifs and rainbows wont solve the fact that we did NOT save for the future projects when we did have the dough.

BTW the only way to make surpluses is to tax more than you need RIGHT NOW.

If we had structured the bailouts correctly we could have made money off the deal, paulson didnt want that.

When you build something that will bring in revenue later you can have the revenue later pay for the construction of said thing.

win win

If's is pretty much all we have.
And no one in our government has the balls to do what is needed on either side.
And the corporatists like things just as they are.
