Where is Mark Twain when you need him? This is the theater of the absurd. Obama leaks that he is going to nominate a Republican for Secretary of Defense, and before liberals can say boo, Republicans freak out and start calling the soon-to-be REPUBLICAN nominee unqualified, an Israel hater, weak, blah blah blah.

So now, for act Two, liberals are supposed to get all up in arms that Obama's nominee is being disrespected by his fellow Republicans, because this is a direct slap in the face to Obama. So liberals instead of bitching up an effing storm, and saying, hey Obama, how about you do something really crazy and nominate a liberal you mf'er? HUH, how about that? they start fighting for Hagel! Who is now a fucking liberal cause celeb because he once questioned the bug-fuck nuts Bush foreign policy team on Iraq, and is now an honorary liberal in good standing for being slightly less insane than those guys!

And, to top it off, this may be the one fight we win! Yay team liberal!

If we were any dumber, we'd be in comas. Good work morons!

For me, I stand with the loons in Congress - No Chuck Hagel he's anti-American! Give us a pro-American Liberal!
 
I don't know...it would be cool to have an ex-enlisted man in the job.

And the troll ILA needs to be banned for starting another thread. The mods were specific about that.

He's not going to play by the rules. He doesn't want this function and he's doing everything he can to make sure they just get rid of it because it's too much trouble. Just like alias would do. Grind says he cant be alias...in my gut...this guy is alias.

There are Democratic vets. Obama is making me sick these days. I admit I had hoped he'd show a little more spine upon being RESOUNDINGLY reelected, but he loves being a weak fool. That is how I feel about him.

I had a teensy bit of hope about that also - but not much. I mean, it's his 2nd term...what's he worried about?

It's sad. He could really change the world if he wanted to.

No, he cannot change the world. Leaders do that. Time and again Obama has shown that he is not a leader. He is a poll watcher. He will rarely make the tough decision. I can think of only one instance that he has and that was in going ahead with the Osama mission.

The great thing with this line of attack is how nicely it dovetails with the "Chicago-style politics ramming ObamaCare down out throats" line of attack.

I think Hagel will be a good Sec Def... I am surprised by the Brennan nomination. I guess the enhanced interrogation methods aren't an issue any more for Obama.

I didn't know about that when I posted this, I just googled it now. BAC is right about him. I know he goes overboard and there are definitely things I don't agree with him about, but his basic judgement about this guy is correct. It's such a shame. I guess it's truly a carnival when you can have this guy who is nothing more than a Republican, being called a socialist and a marxist. I mean, I hope now i have seen everything because I can't take anymore than I have seen.
