Explaining women in combat arms

It is her equivalent of my dad is bigger than your dad. Previously she said that her family is Sicilian and tried to imply that they were hard core mafioso. You just can't make that shit up.

Apparently you can make this shit up. Mafioso? LMAO

I don't even remeber saying I am Sicilian, though I am, half. I definitely never "implied" anything about the mafia. Sounds to me like you are projecting your own bigotry. I'm sure to you we're all in the mafia. I'm going to start calling you Gennifer Flowers.

What's really creepy is who knows how many years ago I mentioned that I am half Sicilian. And the washwoman remembers it. I'm convinced he makes notes and keeps files on everyone. You really should get a healthier habit. Your creepiness factor is skin-crawling.

That's funny. My namesake was a Sicillian who was shipwrecked off the coast of Norway.

Really? My great-grandmother and great- grandfather came over here from Sicily. But my grandmother and grandfather on my dad's side came here from Ireland. My grandfather was in some trouble over there. I like to imagine it was for beating the shit out of Tom's father. But I really don't know what it was, it was always hush hush. No mafia ties though. My father was a wall street executive...hmmm, well maybe you can make that case? ha

Chritianfinger Martini. I can't say much more without giving away my surname.

Evidently Darla is suffering from early onset dementia, it sure would explain a lot.

.

Hhaha, that was an awesome post. I might put it in my signature.

Is that going in your upcoming book "Memoirs of a Message Board Washwoman"?

Don't worry Tom I'm only half Sicilian. I just said that to shake you up. I can see it worked! LMAO

The whole argument about women serving in combat again focuses on the wrong things. The argument you hear is that "women are being passed over for promotions". You don't hear arguments about how great it will be and improve our combat readiness which is really what should be argued. The argument is based on the PC based selfishness of women. You also hear "women can pull a trigger just like a man" which again is a fallacious argument as if being in a combat role constitutes just pulling a trigger.

Let me highlight a few good damned reasons why women have no place in combat roles

1) Physically they are weaker than men. That is a biological fact. They have less muscle mass than men. They are unable to take the physical beatings that men take. Oh, sure you can fine one or two women who are the exception to the rule, but we aren't talking about the exception to the rules. We are talking about the rules. Don't blame me for pointing out those inconvenient facts, blame years of evolution

2) Psychologically, it will put units at risk. Men are prewired to protect women even at the risk of their own lives potentially putting the mission at risk. Is that a flaw of women? Nope. It is just the way it is. And unless one of your geniuses have a way to reprogram thousands of years of societal norms it is going to create problems.

3) Our society is not ready to see what and hear what the enemy is going to do to a woman. War is hell. The enemy abides by no Geneva Conventions even though we twist ourselves in knots trying to comply to their bullshit. There isn't one person on this board who wants to see a woman's battered face shown on a TV screen. Talk about weakening the will of the mission.

It is sad to watch. We should not want to put our women in that position. It is tough enough putting men in that position, but I thought we were a better country than that and had more respect for women.

Boiled down: most women can't qualify for combat arms MOS because they're physically incapable of the demands. But to further one's career, one is required to have combat experience. However, the qualifications for getting the specialized experience can't be changed in the slightest because that would mean lowering safety standards simply for reasons of political correctness.

Why don't you guys just come out and say you don't want women in these positions, period, instead of thinking you can fool us with your smoke and mirrors?
So clearly you didn't read the post.
Not being in a combat MOS does not and will not preclude you from being in combat.

A military engineering unit in combat, under contact will behave differently to an infantry unit.

Engineers will defend their location to enable the completion of their specific task.

Infanteers will close with and engage an enemy in order to bring about his defeat.

I've made several comments you don't feel the need to respond to. As a retired military member one would think you'd reply. All you do is repeat the same old tired talking points to women.

"women in prison shows"? Really? lol...You said we're talking about domestic situations, big difference. Perhaps I should rephrase my statement to "A man should never hit his wife/partner?"

Wow...they've really changed them. No wonder most Marines are fat asses now.

How the hell do we expect this pig to run down a terrorist?

All the time, sweetie, all the time. Whenever you whine.

How do we expect him to run down a terrorist?

Take a look at his qualifications and awards.

A marksman qualification, jump school qualified and a SF badge.

I wager he would run down a terrorist pretty well.
I'm sure he wouldn't be allowed to remain in the corps if he didnt meet the requirements.

Even though I have Howey on ignore, it was kind of hard to miss the picture. It isn't often you see a Marine sporting a Trident. This is one badassed dude.

The dozy bint claimed that I remembered her Sicilian background from the days of AOL despite the fact that she said it only a couple of weeks ago. :palm:
Maybe her dementia might get to the stage where she forgets that she is a nasty vindictive trollop??

If you check the post I was responding to yet another creepy post of yours in which you were telling everyone I was of Irish descent. That's really none of your fucking business, and the fact is you creep around this place, writing down everything everyone says, repeating it, checking into it, and in Poet's case, PM'ing everyone else what you found.

You're creepy.

Further the post wasn't true which is why I didn't remember it. I was fucking with you because i intensely dislike when you make personal comments. I find it creepy. Because it is creepy.

BTW Tom, some of the things I wrote a few posts up arent' true either. Nothing I ever write about myself here is 100% true. Because of creepers like you. I always change the details. Put that in your memoir.

Now she is complaining about personal info, holy fuck the dozy trollop posted it on here in the first place. If you don't like it then shut the fuck up but that is probably asking too much. Anyway, calling somebody you don't know a rapist apparently doesn't qualify as personal. At least Bijou had the good sense to piss off, can't you take a hint??:palm:

Sure its personal. It just isn't a bannable offense. Every insult is personal. That is kinda the point.

Come on, who would really be offended by being called a rapist? Are you a rapist? Seems silly. At least she didn't call you a pedophile or the dreaded N word. Now that would have been below the belt.

Not complaining, I'm well aware of what a creeper you are. I handled it in my own way, and that way got you so excited you are still talking about it a month later. You know, my "mafiosa" connections. LMAO

Wait what happened? Did someone call Tom a rapist? And that was personal information??

I must have missed this whole thing.

Well, better let Grind sort it all out later.

I have known her and her antics for many years back on AOL, she used to be a hundred times worse to other posters.
