Drone War Expansion Sparks Questions About Effectiveness, Oversight

And I assume you posted this in response to all of my glowing praise for Obama on Libya?

NO .. I don't know if you support the attack on Libya or not. I was simply responding to what you posted.

War is not a last resort for America and America did not require defense.

Congrats - you get a gold star. And I didn't support Libya either.

Thanks for interjecting that in the discussion. Can we resume talking about Iraq now?

Surreeeeee you did.

Did you know that you always repeat what others say to you? That's the "I know you are what am I?" tactic. It's considered the absolute cutting edge in debate tactics...among the kindergarten set.

Aren't you supposed to be a college grad??

LOL... yeah... once again you prove sarcasm is lost on you.

No fly zones, continued sanctions, the works. As has been proven - beyond the shadow of a doubt - war is a last resort only, when all other options have been exhausted, and when we have no other choice to defend America.

Trying to make the case that a protracted, destructive 10-year conflict was "inevitable"' and somehow the best option is actually insane.

Another straw man??? Surely you tire of creating them by now.

I said that a war was inevitable. Not the way Bush conducted the war. Thanks for again showing what a dishonest little hack you have become.

I'm just not going to be lectured on the morality of bombs, drone or otherwise, by certain people. And I most definitely mean the ones I know for a fact fully 100% supported any and all bombing campaigns under the Bush adminstration.

So I really don't give a shit. And that is that. Now SF, you can fool some people and get your pats on the back, but I'm here to be your conscience. That's why you get the tingles whenever I post...it's not your groin, it's your conscience.

Mine's clean. Yours...eh. Dusty, very dusty.

Ha. This thread is awesome. All the old chestnuts from pro-war assholes. "I supported the war, but not the way Bush waged it!" Awesome.

Oh - you wanted one of those perfect little wars, which was conducted brilliantly and achieved its goals in short order and exactly as planned?

Here's the deal, SF: War = Pandora's box. It's why it should always be a last resort, and only when necessary to defend America. Iraq never met those criteria, and was never "inevitable."

Didn't realize that I was interrupting .. and Libya seems quite germane to conversations about Iraq IMO .. but I'll butt out.

What I would love to see is full airing of the terror tactics the United States employs, and has long employed, via airstrikes and now drone strikes, on other peoples. It'll be hard to keep people honest because many will condemn only under a Democratic, or Republican adminstration, and not vs vsa. BOth cons and libs do this. But if we get a full airing of this, and I think we are headed there, then honest people of all political stripes can have a chance to change things.

Real conversations about war get lost in the smoke and mirrors of partisanship.

War is only bad when the other side does it.

Did you see the follow up poll to that Huffpo poll that was making such rounds? Where 75% of Americans supported drone strikes on "high level terrorist suspects?"

Well, the follow up asked if they would support it if civilians were likely to be killed, and support dropped to 27%! Those are the die hard sickos who like killing people as long as they are "foreigners". So I do think that if Americans learn what this drone program is really about, and the fact that it is causing people to live in absolute terror! then support will crater and we can get it stopped.

and by 'for a fact'... you mean 'I make whatever I want up to justify my bullshit ranting now, I know no one else is going to look for the thread given that I won't'

LMAO... a person who supports murdering innocents is going to be my conscience... that is truly priceless. My morals are far too high for you to ever be my conscious.

Mine's clean. Yours...eh. Dusty, very dusty.

Odd... I have never supported killing innocents. You have.

You always know when SF is backed into a corner on all of the war and death he has supported...that's when he starts babbling about abortion. How long has this been going on now? I can't recall. Many years. Isn't this the definition of insanity?

Which is why the Obamanauts don't want anyone talking about all the dead children that we are mass-murdering .. and exactly why we should be talking about them.

no, you are the definition of insanity

Odd, I thought you diverted this thread onto some fantasy about what you remember my positions being in the past and then telling me how you were going to be my conscious. Funny that I then turn to why you should not be anyone's conscious given your positions.
