I can't log on for like 30 minutes and all of a sudden my world ends. I can't work and all I can do is hit the damn refresh button over and over.

Yes, I know I have issues.
 
Dude, I thought I kicked the habit when I asked Grind to ban me for two weeks so I couldn't log in but I was clean for like only 2 days or something.
 
Seriously, what is it that draws us so intensley to this anonymous online "community" where we end up 'hating' half the people on here? I like your self ban idea Dung but if it didn't work for you I have little hope of it working for me.

I totally get what you are saying. However I can't stay on the site at work for long so I've been waiting until I'm home.
 
I had to ask Damo to deactivate my account (when my screen name was Onceler).

I made it 3 months or so. I consider coming back here to be my greatest personal failure.

For serious, it's like this for me. I really don't talk politics much with people in real life ever. It always gets awkward and contentious and people end up thinking I'm a dick even when I don't mean to be (and yes, I mean to be a dick quite often). When political discssions come up, I sit back and don't generally engage because it almost never ends well. But I'm a news and politics junkie at heart so this board enables me to talk about it without it negatively impacting my real life in any meanigful respect.

You are a msm junkie, you don't listen to real news, just the spin, so you can't be considered politically engaged either!:)

Well said. You nailed it. I rarely talk politics as well in the real world and as you stated most conversations on politics don't end well so why bother even going there?

Yup. Same here. It's a positive outlet for me so that I don't end up being a social pariah like Super Freak. ;)
