Size of Government: Your Thoughts (Or Lack Thereof...)

The Federal government should be:

  • Total voters

Not a liberal.

Are you suggesting that Obama and the Senate Democrats aren't liberals? Because I don't think you can deny we've had a pretty big fucking deficit for the past 4 years.

I am a moderate. I'm for tax increases (which we got in January) and spending cuts (which we got last week). That said, the only way we're going to eliminate the deficit is through growth. We can't even hope to tax or cut our way out of it. I do not have a "side" because neither "side" is moderate on this issue. We have a President that doesn't think we have a spending problem, and a GOP that is obsessed with cutting taxes for the wealthy.

Does that answer your question?

Nope, just a crock of self justifying shit.
The GOP is responsible for the vast majority of the national debt, when was the last time you voted for a dem, and I didn't ask a question (until now).

President Obama is responsible for a plurality of debt today. Whether or not Republican Presidents have been responsible for a majority of the debt as a whole is possible, but doubtful. Either way, it is apparent to me that politicians from both parties enjoy spending other people's money a little too much. Remove your partisan blinders, and then perhaps we'll be able to have a fruitful discussion.

It isn't doubful, it is a fact.

Really, and how are these proles going to go about taking control of what doesn't belong to them? One giant class-action lawsuit?

Well, first off, they're not taking control of what doesn't belong to them. Despite what you plutocrats believe, the government doesn't belong to the rich, it belongs to the voters - which your citizens united did a good job of undermining.

The working class holds up the economy, not the fascists who use intellectual property to live off their labor.

Once your system fails, we - the students, workers and activists - will pick up the pieces. There's a storm coming. You folks that've screwed us better find some shelter.

You'll be able to back it up with evidence, then?

Sure. From the top of my head;

All presidents until Reagan, just around a trillion.
Reagan and Bush Sr, 3.7 trillion. Clinton stopped running deficit by the end of his second term, total so far; 4 trillion. Bush jr, 10 trillion, you do the math,
