The new Pope... is.....

If the goal of this election is image, now would be the ideal time to elect on of the two popular African candidates.

I dont think they will go for Sandusky as they want some change.

Intrade now has the prospect of an Italian Pope above 50%.
 
Okay, well I was wrong...

Francis is not Italian.... Both of his parents are however Italian, in my family that counts. In fact, my sister-in-law, got Italian citizenship (although she had never been to Italy) because she was able to prove that two of her grandparents were born in Italy. The people I know with even 25% Italian blood run around calling themselves Italian.

So while I was wrong on that factor I was close. The dude is Argentenian but he is an Italian citizen with an Italian passport.

Lets hope he is a reformer and can turn the church aroud from so many years of CONSERVATIVE leadership that have left it in ruin.

Again, I dont put as much stock in INtrade regarding the Papacy as I do the presidency because we dont have pollind data on the Papal race.
