Registration WILL lead to CONFISCATION. Don't trust the takers.

Well, your country is based upon love of monarch; mine is based upon love of liberty, so our separate attitudes toward guns could actually make us both patriots and our opponents ranging from lesser patriots to traitors.

No, I would not agree that my country is based on the love of a monarch. We have a love for our history and a love of our culture which, of course, includes at least as much freedom and threats against it as does yours, probably much more so. Our royal family assumes the same position in many people's minds as your statue of liberty. It is a symbol of who you are but only a symbol - not a reason. A more important 'symbol' in my opinion, is the map. The map shows a very small country which is completely belied by its power and inlfuence. I like that. I like our unique contribution to the arts and science, our diversity and that generally (present governing party excepted) we are much smarter than most other inhabitants of this planet! (tic)

I am absolutely a proponent of registration. Most sane Americans are.
oh, bullshit. sanity has zero to do with it other than your pathetic attempt to classify opponents as insane.

It DOES help solve crimes. It helps identify people who own guns who are later deemed mentally ill, or convicted of a violent crime. It does not infringe upon anyone's rights.
bullshit again. maryland spent almost a billion dollars on their registry, to date it has not solved a single crime. and tell the guy that had HIS guns confiscated because his wife spent a weekend in a mental hospital voluntarily that his rights were not infringed upon.

It's things like the opposition to something as simple as regisration that separates reasonable-thinking gun owners from the nutters.
again, bullshit. the founders learned early on that registration would only allow the government to confiscate to conquer.

Well, allow me to help you with the English language. What you meant to say is that it "can" lead to confiscation. Not that it "will."

Hope that helps.
check is in the mail and I won't come in your mouth are often said as well, but we know what eventually happens

And, nothing about Thomson's case has to do with registration no matter how much Grind wishes it. The charges may have been stupid and unnecessary but it's false to say they were due to registration.

"In August 2010, Thomson fired his registered pistol over the heads of attackers before calling police. The cops, however, charged Thomson for improper storage of a firearm because he set the gun down on a table as he waited for the authorities to arrive.

“I’m somewhat relieved, but it still hasn’t sunk in,” the Port Colbourne, Ont., man said late Thursday afternoon.

He had originally faced a count of careless use of a firearm and one count of pointing a firearm, but those charges were dismissed early on.

He was acquitted of the remaining improper storage charge after Justice Tory Colvin ruled Thomson kept his guns safely stored in a steel locker and that the ammunition, which was stored in his bedroom, was not readily accessible to the guns."

Irrelevant, you are attempting to deflect from the issues at hand.

No grass growing under your feet, but we got you now. After the names of gun owners were published in the newspaper around Sandy Hook, America realized a change had come. The First Amendment was trumping the Second. I mean if there is a pedophile in my neighborhood, their name will be published. Why not guns? Just as many whack jobs there.

This will be nice and clean and will not jeopardize the Second Amendment at all. Back ground checks, even better. Give gun owners the MMPI, Minnesota Multiphase Personality Inventory. Let's find out who is off balance, and MMPI is fool proof, and can not be cheated on. It is the stability test given to CEOs before they are given a job offer. Like most Americans I am afraid of the "gun nuts" with 30 round clips, and assault weapons than I am criminals with guns. Criminals just want money, but the "gun nuts" are always threatening with their fanatic NRA politics. Sane gun owners should welcome this change.

Get this one on a shrink's couch fast!

The thing about making a post like this one, is that when you get no response, you know you struck a nerve. We all know it is true, except for the guy in the picture!

Or there is maybe the other possibility and people just decided to ignore your stupidity.
Just maybe.

Or we know you presented nothing of substance worth replying to. What about the man pictured indicated mental illness/instability and what are your credentials for making such a determination based on 1 photograph when most psychologists take YEARS to determine such things?

Mabye it's a picture of himself!

and to piss me off even more I have dopey rana silently thanking every one of this idiots post as if he said anything that wasn't actually a garbled mess of nonsense.

Dopey you apparently doesn't realize that in Canada, the right to private gun ownership is not guaranteed by law. It's not in their Constitution or their Charter of Rights and Freedoms.

given that this country and your party has already called for banning certain guns, saying "it will" is a statement of fact. you are takers and I wont let you pretend that your grubby dirty hands wont be reaching into our homes to snatch away our weapons.

More Rightie insanity...

If you're going to pretend that your idiot claim that one day "it will" is a statement of fact, then conversely, every single second of every single minute of every single hour of every single day that ticks off the clock BEFORE it becomes a statement of fact, it is instead a total bullshit falsehood.

Thanks for playing!

So an equally inclusive statement of "people will die" is disprove by people being alive?

that must be why all governments strive to have more and better guns than their citizens......because they hate and fear us.

Of course they fear you. You employ them and they dont want you ever to realise it. When we truly understand the law and the difference between the real person and the paper person all governments will fear their people.

A pedophile is someone that has been CONVICTED of a crime against children. You are equating all legal gun owners to criminals.

you didn't dismantle anything. We are banning guns this very hour. It's already happening. A national registry will further those ends , just like it has happened in other countries.

The above is what occurs when the liberals of this board have lost an argument. They start proclaiming how awesome it was to 'skewer you' or how they 'dismantled your argument' etc... etc...

They seem to forget that everyone can still see the posts on the thread. There was a thrashing on this thread... but reality is a far cry from what occurred in Lorax's fantasy world.
