So the football players were rightfully found guilty of rape and in my view won't be punished enough for their heinous crime, but it does raise an interesting question about what is behind rape. Why some men do and some men don't.

I have often heard that it is a crime of anger, hatred etc. But I don't necessarily agree.

Couldn't one argue that it is just men who can't control their sexual urges? I mean we are told that kids need to be taught not to repress their sexual urges and that teaching abstinence is a bad thing. We are told that these kids can control themselves.

We are told that complaining about over sexualized lyrics, movies and television programs makes us prudes and throwbacks to the horrid 1950s. Yet one can't help but think that being exposed to sex in everything from music to soda commercials can't help but leave an impression on young minds.

It is after all just sex we are told by the left.

For the record I don't support these arguments. But I think they are a fair representation of arguments leftists have made regarding sexuality over the years (of course only when it suits their agenda)

Females are exposed to many of these images, probably at younger ages than males. Rapes by female perps are very infrequent and not going up.

People over think rape and I've noticed that many conservative males just simply don't get it. It is an act of violence. Where a stronger and/or more powerful person sexually assualts someone else. That is what rape is. If you think it is something else. You're a moron. There's not really any room for discussion here....that is, unless you're a moron. Rape is a violent crime and those who seek excuses for rape, simply don't get it. If you know what right and wrong are, then you know what rape is and I'm not buying excuses about "influences".
