While getting the you tube sevens film I also found this, which might be of interest to anyone concerned with construction or transport. It is pretty amazing. (Quite long) I was involved with almost everything shown on this film. The bridge, tunnels, roads, railway stations. Great times.

Thought I'd just give this a little bump for the yanks who think the US is best at everything.

We don't all think that way.....and Britts don't exactly have a lot of room to talk in that particular matter......having said that....nothing wrong with being competitive. :)

I am aware of that. Nevertheless it is a fantastic film (American made I might add)

There are other islands nearer to Hong Kong Island, I wonder why they didn't build it nearer?

Future development and noise pollution I guess. There was a proposal to build it in Tolo Harbour (you can find that) and, partly I suppose because I was doing a fair bit of business with that company, (Hopewell Holdings) and its bossGordon Wu, the only fat cat actually qualified to build stuff, I was all in favour. But, in hindsight, I think the correct decisions were taken. UK made quite a wad of cash which was extremely useful as we approached 1997. We did not know then whether the new government would let us take our toys home with us!
