What A Surprise

Well, my mama said it was my grandfather's on my father's side fault, but my father said her side was to blame...eventually he just plum gave up but my mamma always tried to beat it out of me.

Just trying to point out the hypocrisy of trying to make an all encompassing assessment from one statement or even wrong minded position or belief. I believe that both statements are racist. I also believe that you have to look past the shortcomings of people to see their overall persona. I won't judge the totality of your being on the fact that you used the word "Whitey" no matter how bigoted or wrong minded it is. We all have our faults.

We now know Zimmerman's brother is a racist and that he lied. I'm not interested in any of this other stuff, but I know a lot of whiteys are fixated on it. I'm sure you find it deep.

I think this is the perfect illustration of a certain common form of racism that still exists today. I'm sure the Zimmermans don't think of themselves as racists. They just think they are exercising common sense. It's the "fear" that exists in the psyches of those who know, somewhere deep down, that African Americans have a right to be angry and violent about all the terrible things you think about them. And so they assume they all are angry and violent, even when they are just average 17 year old American kids out buying some skittles on a rainy night.

A 'certain form of racism' is it ?.....From what I read, I agree....its the imaginary form of racism that pinheads see no matter where they look.....

Racism does not hold up well under a stronger and more encompassing light.

We know the author endorses the use of violence if you don't like what someone is thinking about you. That alone is enough to show the author is a crackpot... as are those who continue to endorse his crap.

Either way, justice will be done.

Exactly, the real outrage was that he was not charged. I mean, come on, he killed the kid and admits to it. It is not as if prosecutors are known for demanding open and shut cases before bringing charges.

True, but they also understand that there was a potential for the stand your ground law to apply. They waited until the evidence was clearer to them and then filed charges.

Would you rather they just immediately file charges?

it was only like 6 weeks before he was officially charged. That's actually a very short time for a murder investigation.

A person of one color makes a racist statement because his brother has been treated unfairly due to a racial incident that he feels was grossly unfair towards his brother. I wonder, if a black person called someone "whitey" as a slur because of something similar, would anyone criticize that? What is the difference? Why would one be called up short as racist and the other one not?

Whoa there...

How was Georgie treated "unfairly"?
