again, I fail to see where that quote prohibits a felon from washing dishes at a firm that happens to manufacture or sell firearms.

Gun Control act of 1964 and Section 922 of the USC.
section 922 of the USC does not even contain the word "felon" according to my search.

Search prohibited persons.
section 922
(g) It shall be unlawful for any person -
(1) who has been convicted in any court of, a crime punishable
by imprisonment for a term exceeding one year;
to ship or transport in interstate or foreign commerce, or possess
in or affecting commerce, any firearm or ammunition; or to receive
any firearm or ammunition which has been shipped or transported in
interstate or foreign commerce.
this covers all felonies, thus implying 'felon'
tell ya what. read the entire code for yourself, since we have and we've told you what is what.done. there is no use of that term in conjunction with employment practices.
Do you actually have a legal cite that backs up your assertion, or not? WHy not just give me the quote that says, "federal firearms licensees are prohibited from hiring convicted felons in any capacity". That would be cool.
tell ya what. read the entire code for yourself, since we have and we've told you what is what.

now show me where it says a guy washing dishes in any way conforms to that definition.
what you clearly need to do is call a lawyer yourself and find out if what we've said is correct or not. I don't care if you don't want to believe me or not. what we've said is the law. we know this because one of us is an actual firearms dealer and the other of us has been a gun rights advocate for years. we know the law. so go call a lawyer and ask your questions.and I clearly don't need to read the ENTIRE code for myself... all I need to do is search for keywords like "employ" to see that there is no prohibition in that code to any licensed firearms dealer from employing a convicted felon as a bookkeeper or a dishwasher at his facility.

(h) It shall be unlawful for any individual, who to that
individual's knowledge and while being employed for any person
described in any paragraph of subsection (g) of this section, in
the course of such employment -
(1) to receive, possess, or transport any firearm or ammunition
in or affecting interstate or foreign commerce; or
(2) to receive any firearm or ammunition which has been shipped
or transported in interstate or foreign commerce.
so clearly you did not do a search for employ
and yet, the ATF says the exact opposite. i'll take their word for it over yours.a felon in the accounting department does none of those things. neither does the dishwasher. neither does the janitor.
but apparently it's only done that way until the ATF wants to prosecute a felon for constructive possession. it's bullshit and you're doing nothing more than promoting an entirely unfair justice system. understandable, since you also prefer a police state to freedom.
