We couldn't handle being Israel

Watching the media and reaction to the Boston bombings, one thing that struck me, is how our society handles these things as compared to Israeli society. The kind of thing that happened in Boston, happens on the streets of Israel on almost a daily basis. They also have to deal with missile attacks, amid the bombings.

I don't think the American psyche could handle being Israel. We'd all be in the looney bin after a few weeks.
