Apparently the boy's biological father is nowhere to be seen. How's that for teabagger family values! Wonder why this pig won't adopt the kid and raise him properly? And, as I already pointed out, the father said his intention was to disrupt the school.

That shirt falls within the "offensive" category" that the SCOTUS talked about, and it is an objective, not subjective standard. If the ordinary person would be offended, then having it turned inside out would be acceptable. Advocating for your rights is not objectively offensive.

This has nothing to do with 'resisting authority'... it is about not blindly following authority as many on the left have suggested. The teacher was wrong, the kid should not have even been asked to turn his shirt inside out. Everything that resulted from that point on is a because of the teachers abuse of power.

As for the 'know it all' line of crap, you don't have to have kids to know you are teaching them a bad lesson. A bad lesson is a bad lesson...

Sorry, I didn't "change" anything. I made the 2nd and subsequent posts on this thread criticizing the father for overreacting and the kid for defiant behaviour.

I never said he shouldn't wear the shirt or even that there was anything wrong with the shirt. That's just what you people put on me because you know I support gun regulations.

That's real cute about teaching kids a bad lesson. Get back to me when you have a mouthy teenager whose entire life revolves around defying the parents.

Again, kids wear provocative clothing to school everyday and it gets handled as an internal matter. This only made national news because of the gun angle.

You know, because Republicans are such strong supporters of the First Amendment. They belive its absolute, as they do with the Second, they belive that there is no limit to free speech. If you want to wear a shirt to school that says, "I wanna fuck the teacher doggie style", you are constitutionally protected to do so!
