At annual correspondents' dinner, Obama jokes about growing older during his 2nd term

I can't remember the last time anyone punished me for anything. My life is such a grand non-stop luxurious party, I have to look at the upper right hand corner of my macbook to see what day it is... the way I live, every day is a holiday.

So you never really considered your hiatus from JPP as a punishment?

"punishment"? not really. I understood why they did it and I simply moved on to other sites and other endeavors. If the truth be known, I was so busy building my home here in Mexico that I didn't really have a lot of time for this sort of stuff anyway. Now that the house is built and I have more time, I pointed out to the moderators that the changes in latitude had mellowed my attitude and I would enjoy coming back into the conversation. Much to their credit, they favorably considered my request.

So....in your mind....what?

He should turn the correspondence dinner into....the state of the union address?

Do me a favor....take a look at what the correspondence dinner is before you hit the keyboard.

It's meant to be a "fun" time. But that's not allowed for Obama like it was for every other president in the history of the event.
That's because every other president in the history of the event was so much more presidential. Hussein just needs to stfu and get busy.

So that's why you humbled yourself, after being gone for years!! :palm:

yeah...Dubya joking about looking for WMD's in his office while American soldiers were dying in a war he started over WMD's was profoundly presidential. I am sure you will agree.

With the current state of the nation and the dangerous world its nice to see how concerned Obama and his fans are with his greatness! Just a sample of how delusional they are..

WASHINGTON - President Barack Obama joked Saturday that the years are catching up to him and he's not "the strapping young Muslim socialist" he used to be.
Obama poked fun at himself as well as some of his political adversaries during the annual White House Correspondents' Association dinner attended by politicians, members of the media and Hollywood celebrities.
Entering to the rap track "All I Do Is Win" by DJ Khaled, Obama joked about how re-election would allow him to unleash a radical agenda. But then he showed a picture of himself golfing on a mock magazine cover of "Senior Leisure."
"I'm not the strapping young Muslim Socialist that I used to be," the president remarked, and then recounted his recent 2-for-22 basketball shooting performance at the White House Easter Egg hunt.
But Obama's most dramatic shift for the next four years appeared to be esthetic. He presented a montage of shots featuring him with bangs similar to those sometimes sported by his wife.
"So we borrowed one of Michelle's tricks," Obama said. "I thought this looked pretty good, but no bounce."
Obama closed by noting the nation's recent tragedies in Massachusetts and Texas, praising Americans of all stripes from first responders to local journalists for serving the public good.
Saturday night's banquet not far from the White House attracted the usual assortment of stars from Hollywood and beyond. Actors Kevin Spacey, Julia Louis-Dreyfus and Claire Danes, who play government characters on series, were among the attendees, as was Korean entertainer Psy. Several Cabinet members, governors and members of Congress were present.
And despite coming at a sombre time, nearly two weeks after the deadly Boston Marathon bombing and 10 days after a devastating fertilizer plant explosion in West, Texas, the president and political allies and rivals alike took the opportunity to enjoy some humour. Late-night talk-show host Conan O'Brien headlined the event.

you have a problem with this why? if nothing else, some levity is helpful to the nation during times of distress

just out of curiosity, have you seen photographs of presidents before entering and after leaving office since wwii

Shouted as he pulled his head for a brief spell and pleased smell out of the sewer.:rofl2:

to be quite honest, after going back and rereading this post again, I am still not entirely sure what, exactly, you were trying to convey. Maybe if you could go to one of a host of online grammar checkers, you could possibly edit/rewrite it so that it your intended point was a bit more clear.

at least you refrain from profanity

the only question is whose head is in the sewer, i think it be yours

obama won for a variety of reason, not the least of which is they selected romney to run against him, that and the fact that the dims were far better organized than the repugs.

also, the repugs did an excellent job of turning off minorities and women and still have not learned the lessons of the 2012 election

oh well

I just watched a video of his entire performance. He was awesome. I am SOOOO glad that Barack Obama is our president for a second term!

So are foreclosure attorneys, recovery agents, bankruptcy attorneys, the takers getting welfare handouts, and the liberal media that backed his campaign

The rest of us are looking over our shoulder waiting to how that "train wreck" of Obamacare will impact us, the mounting debt, and containing tax increases will slow an already near flat lined Obama economy

You mean you will no longer hope that people with cancer will die so you can urinate on their grave?

Your avatar reminded me of those gracious posts you made on one of those other boards. I went back and made sure you were the guy who made those posts - before I posted this response

Seems you have not "mellowed" that much after all

I have several threads on Obamacare you can comment on

and yes people with jobs in the default industry are doing well thanks to Obama's economic policies

actually, if you read the business section of a non partisan newspaper, you will discover that defaults/foreclosures are down and employment is slowly improving.

also, housing prices are starting to rise. our home is now worth more than we paid for it two years ago, including what we invested in repairing/refurbishing it.

yes, it is a slow recovery, but it was a fall from a great height and the second worst decline in u s history, but you seem to ignore that fact.
