that is true....I was not as familiar with sodomy as you were.....I thought it meant only anal sex....meanwhile, marriage has not been that difficult to follow....it has only meant one thing for my entire life and a couple dozen generations before that...now, please crawl back in your fucking hole and don't respond to my posts again unless you desire to be treated uncivilly......

and the fact that you are unfamiliar with blowjobs is certainly not any failing of MINE. I just had one this afternoon while sitting on the side of my pool.

There are plenty of instances in human history where marriage has meant something other than one man and one woman...

The essence of marriage is the romantic commitment and the sharing of ones life, resources and responsibilities with another. The gender of the participants does not change that meaning and has nothing to do with why it is a fundamental civil right.

Nope. Marriage means what we say it means. For instance, if I say you represent a perfect marriage of brawn and brains, no one would say I was talking about a union between a man and woman. They would say I was crazy. In essence, marriage means a close union.

Your argument is nothing but another in the long list of bullshit evasions. They are going to come out with a new dictionary every year and it's no big deal if we add another edit. It's not the least bit important to the debate and I seriously doubt you or any sane person sincerely cares about that.

It always struck me as ironic how these same opponents to equal marriage rights considered themselves "small government" types. I'm ashamed that they would hijack the principles of smaller government in an effort to use government as a weapon. Government shouldn't be in the marriage business at all in my opinion, but if they are, there is no right to exclude anyone who wishes to engage in the institution.
